Add more movies
U should add more movies. I want to watch some Star Wars movies on a flight but can’t cuz it it ain’t there. Virgin Australia can’t even put a 4 kg bag onto a plane. When I went to Darwin, my luggage was still in Perth

This app is a waste of time and will leave you with no entertainment on your flight, as it did for me today.
Would not work
I have used it in the past with no problems but today it wouldn’t work. The wifi was connected but telling me there was no internet. I tried but gave up and went back to my audio book.
It was a shame because I look forward to finding a movie I haven’t heard about and really enjoying the movie.

Disappointing never works
The Virgin app consistently fails to connect, even after meticulously following all the troubleshooting steps. The final straw was enduring a five-hour flight to Perth with nothing to do but stare at the seat in front. This level of service is simply unacceptable. If Virgin doesn’t address these connectivity issues, they risk losing more customers to Qantas and other competitors. Get it sorted.

Hard to load, inconsistent operation. Just frustrating to use.
Does not work on iPhone
Software behind the app doesn’t work. After multiple virgin flights I’ve not been able to get the app connected to in flight entertainment once. I go through these steps: 1. Connect to the in flight wifi 2. The in flight virgin wifi has no internet available 3. Open the app 4. App loads and crashes or loads and says that the app cannot connect to the internet Wondering if this is going to be fixed, or if virgin will stop falsely advertising an in-flight entertainment system on their flights. The app clearly isn’t optimised to work with the current iOS version available.
Qantas flights seem to have a working in flight entertainment system - I think I’ll be flying with them from now on.

Didn’t work
Download this before my flight and it just wouldn’t connect to the plane’s wifi. And yes I did exactly as it kept on asking for. The young man next to me had the exact same problem. Not worth the time to download. Just as well dl a couple of movies and watch them instead.
Connection on flight
I could not get a connection - sometimes it would show up and I could scroll through menu but nothing would play - I checked for updates and tried so many times - nothing - was very disappointed

As mentioned by many, this is a completely useless app. Remains stuck on a blank screen with a loading icon. Unusable.
Is this app still used on flights?
Do Virgin Australia still use this app on flights or is the inflight entertainment now exclusively browser based?

Not working
This app has always been a bit of hit and miss but lately just never works.
Less than 1 star
Used to be good many years ago. Don’t know why I downloaded the app again as I keep deleting and then hoping it has improved. Wouldn’t even load properly let alone allow me to actually watch a movie. Deleted app and won’t be trying again. Disappointing.

I couldn’t get this to work at all. It finally kicked in 3 hours into a 4 hour flight but then kept going off, so I admitted defeat. I’d suggest downloading your own media items to watch as if you rely on this, you’ll be disappointed!
No Vision
Started flying Virgin domestically, there was no information about the inflight entertainment, how to connect, which app to use etc etc. when I was on the flight I was not able to stream anything. The app opened and directed me to connect through settings. I followed the instructions and there was no option in the ‘Entertain’ app to allow wifi connection…..

Virgin Entertainment app is useless
Helps pass the time away just trying to get it to work. Useless app which never works and not even on my latest iPhone 13 and 14. Waste of time.
Follow all the rules such as lock into the aircraft wifi. Plane mode etc. just never works. Best to download some Netflix or STAN movies before you go.
Some long haul Virgin planes also have no USB charging points so Virgin is becoming worse than JetFail as a budget airline. Forget this failure application. Useless waste of time.

Last 5 have all been busts- no connectivity at all- frustrating!

I don’t know what Virgin Australia are doing, but this app no longer works at all.
Not working
Useless for the last five flights I’ve taken. Simply won’t connect. Virgin need to put some of their profits into getting some better developers.
Get your act together Virgin
So many people complain about the Virgin entertainment app and I am NO different! It is terrible such a simple thing that other airlines have and work so good, Virgins entertainment app is terrible. Constant freezing of anything that you try and run, I don’t understand why Virgin don’t fix this! If I am flying on a longer flight I go with another airline as their systems seem to work great.
