About

VirtualProg puts your Mac's virtual machines in your pocket. Connect to VirtualProg running on your Mac over your local network/internet, and monitor and control every VM from your iPhone or iPad — start and stop machines, watch and interact with the live screen, open a terminal, and manage snapshots and templates, all without sitting at your Mac. VirtualProg for iOS is a companion app. Your virtual machines keep running on your Mac; nothing runs on your device. VIRTUAL MACHINES • See every VM at a glance, as a list or a grid with live thumbnails • Search, filter and sort by name, state, CPU or memory • Select several VMs and start, shut down, stop or snapshot them together • Full control: start, pause, resume, restart, suspend, shut down and force stop • Create new VMs with Quick Create, or the full Advanced Create configuration • View CPU, memory, network and usage details for any VM LIVE SCREEN • Watch and control a VM's display with touch and a hardware keyboard • Pinch to zoom, drag to pan, and switch between fit and actual size • Adaptive frame rate with hardware H.265/H.264 video for a smooth, low-bandwidth picture • Attach and detach USB devices connected to your Mac • Give memory back to your Linux with the memory balloon control TERMINALS • Serial console with full ANSI colour support • SSH terminal with password or private-key authentication • A built-in command line, compatible with VirtualProg's vpvm commands SNAPSHOTS, CHECKPOINTS & TEMPLATES • Browse snapshots as a list or a visual timeline • Create, restore, edit and delete snapshots • Instant checkpoints and linked clones, with a family-tree diagram (macOS 27 or later) • Turn any VM or snapshot into a reusable template NETWORKS & IMAGES • Manage host networks and see how your VMs connect with a network topology diagram • Download macOS and Linux installation images to your Mac from the built-in catalog DISK SPACE & LOGS • See exactly what's using space across your VMs, templates and snapshots • Grow a disk or delete what you no longer need • Browse application and per-VM logs, with search and live tailing SECURITY • Master and scoped access tokens, so you can share limited access safely • Two-factor authentication for sign-in • Optional Face ID / Touch ID lock for the app itself DESIGNED FOR IPHONE AND IPAD • A sidebar layout on iPad puts your VM list and details side by side • Light, Dark or System appearance, with a choice of accent colours • Siri and Shortcuts support to start, stop, snapshot and open VMs by voice or automation • Built-in help, right in the app PRIVACY BY DESIGN VirtualProg for iOS connects only to your own Mac on your local network/internet. There is no cloud service and no remote relay — your data never leaves your network. REQUIREMENTS • iOS 17 or later • VirtualProg running on a Mac, with the CLI Server and External Access enabled • The same local network or internet as your Mac
