About
“I didn't set out to build another workout tracker. I've trained with weights consistently for more than ten years and used many of the top-rated apps along the way, including one I stuck with for six years that's probably the best of them. I still wanted something better for myself, so I built it.” — Ryan, VisPR's developer
VisPR is a weightlifting log that gets out of your way. No feed, no ads, no upsells, no questionnaire before you can start. Open it, tap an exercise, log your sets.
LOG A WORKOUT IN SECONDS
• Favorite exercises become tiles on your home screen — one tap starts a workout with that lift, or select several and start them together.
• Each set shows what you did last time, right beside the field, so progression is obvious.
• A big, clear number pad built for the gym. Back and Next move between sets without hunting for the keyboard.
• Weight carries forward between sets; a swipe deletes a set or a whole exercise; one tap undoes the last change.
• Weight units per exercise: barbell work in kilograms, accessories in pounds, in the same session.
A DIRECT LINE TO THE DEVELOPER
• Something I haven't come across in any other workout app: the Ideas tab and Bug Report are live chats with me, the person who builds VisPR. Not a feedback form, not a support queue.
• Suggest a feature or report a problem, attach a screenshot, and I reply in the same conversation. You get a notification when I answer. (Sign in to chat, so the conversation follows you across devices.)
REST TIMER THAT REACHES YOU
• Starts when you add a set. Counts down on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island.
• Choose the ding — or bring your own sound and trim it right in the app. It plays even with the ringer switched off, and only when you want it to.
KNOW WHEN YOU'RE STRONGER
• Personal records are spotted automatically and marked on the set, in the workout, and in your history.
• Every workout gets a summary: volume, reps, pace between sets, and how it compares to the last time you did each lift.
• Stats per exercise — best sets, top weights, trend over time.
GOALS THAT TRACK THEMSELVES
• Set a target lift, a training-consistency goal, or a body-weight goal. Progress updates from what you actually log.
• Body weight can come straight from Apple Health, if you choose to allow it.
TEMPLATES FOR THE SESSIONS YOU REPEAT
• Save any workout as a template, or build one from your favorite tiles. Start it in one tap.
• Drag to put the exercises in your order.
SHARE IT
• Turn a workout into a clean image for messages or social — in VisPR's look, or in your own chosen theme.
MAKE IT YOURS
• A dozen marble backgrounds, or one shared by the community, with the app's colors following along.
• Community templates, backgrounds and rest sounds, shared and voted on by other users of the app.
• Optional left-handed mode mirrors the controls to your thumb.
• Full VoiceOver support.
YOUR DATA IS YOURS
• Sign in with Apple or Google to back up everything to the cloud and sync across your devices — signing in is what keeps your data safe if you lose your phone. Or don't sign in at all: the app works fully offline, no account required.
• Import your history from other apps' CSV exports. Using an app VisPR can't import from yet? Send me its export file from the Import section in Settings, and I'll work on adding support for it.
• Export everything, any time, as CSV or a full account backup.
• Delete your account and every synced byte from Settings, whenever you like.
• No ads. No selling data. No subscription. Free, and staying that way.
VisPR is built by one lifter for people who just want to train.
