Awkward to use, frequently gets wrong character
I tried using this app on my iPhone and iPad Pro and both were extremely awkward to use. On the iPhone version, they keys are too close together so its difficult to type with any accuracy. On the ipad version, the keys are too far apart. It would be useful if you could adjust the key spacing on your own to find a comfortable typing pattern. As it stands, my hands strain far too much for this to be an effective tool. It would be very cool if it could use 6-key input from a standard keyboard (like Perky Duck) as this would solve all of the key input issues.

Saved files are blank
Why is this happening... I create a file and it is blank if I email it or try to send it to anyone, rendering this app worthless.
Workaround for three finger letters
If you tap three fingers at the same the IOS glitch of showing the undo/copy/paste bar does still appear. But, if you try “drumming” your fingers quickly. It does work and registers the correct letter. Think of drumming your fingers when you’re bored or trying to think. All of your fingers don’t hit at the same exact time, they go in quick succession. I’ve only had the app today so not a lot of experience with it. So far so good once I figured that out.

Doesn’t register button presses most of the time
There’s no way to write faster than 1 letter every 30 seconds, because it takes 2-5 tries for a letter to register correctly and load in. Not good.
Amazing!
For a free app this is absolutely excellent. Working with blind and VI children this is excellent for me practicing my Braille and for the children to work on and send Braille files. The only draw back I would say is that sometimes holding multiple keys can be quite difficult and you have to press them individually then release at the same time which makes the experience very different from using a Perkins machine for example. It would also be nice if there was a built in zoom function or the ability to change the size of the Braille display so that visually impaired people can use this more easily. But honestly for free? Yes this is 100% worth it.

L doesn’t work
Whenever I type L, undo pops up and I can’t do anything. I see this is an issue written about on Nov 14. FIX IT! It is now sept 2020 and it still isn’t fixed. When will you finally do something?
Low vision users
I wish there was an option to enlarge the size of the braille cells on the screen. It would be great for remote learning with COVID. If I Turn the zoom on, some of the letters don’t work. I would expect an app from APH would be accessible to all.
Button 4 not working
Button 4 doesn’t seem to work so I can’t type certain letters
L STILL DOESN’T WORK
That would be dots 123. I also have the same problem with dots 456. They open text editing commands. PLEASE FIX THIS! It was a great app before this happened.
Doesn’t work right
It is very hard to get it to type certain letters.
Does not work with new IOS update
Ever since the new IOS update, none of my Braille apps are working. Any time I use three fingers to write a Braille letter, a bar comes up on the top of my screen giving me the option to “paste, cut, undo, redo,” and will not allow me to type the letter. I was in contact with the accessibility team at Apple for several weeks as they were trying to figure out what was happening, and their engineers determined that it was an issue with the apps themselves, not the IOS update. PLEASE fix this bug. I’m currently learning how to type Braille for my masters program, and am now unable to practice as much as i need to since I can’t carry my Brailler everywhere with me.

Doesn’t Braille all letters
Not able to Braille d,f,h,j.... was excited to try this with my student but can’t now.
Awesome App!
This Braille app is perfect for me to use on the go! Even for when I’m practicing on writing Braille Music! There should be an option on using UEB Braille on our Bluetooth Keyboards instead of having to write some Grade 1 Braille.
Good Braille App. For iPad
This is a good and welcome tool for writing brf files on the iPad. It can send the files by email for further editing and/or embossing or printing on a PC. What would be great (and I would be happy to pay for) would be the capability of importing brf or dxb files. This seems to be lacking on the iPad platform.

Braille Transcriber
Great for practicing UEB Code!
Unpredictable
Have found that Braille spacing on lines carried over do not space as expected.
Files I have received from students using the program do not always open readily within other Braille programs like Duxbury or Perky Duck.
Recently a student is having trouble with not being able to get all dots to appear when pressing the keys.
It is not clear how to save files or if it is possible to save a file.

Stopped working and don't know why! Help!
Great app
Im learning braille and currently starting the process of getting certified. Really good app...my braille instructor was very excited when he found out it was finally out.
Pretty straight forward
Pretty good Braille input with sharing options. In later versions would like a proofing bar such as with Duxbury.
