I’m trying to play South Park pinball for vpx but it’s not working. Can someone help me?

Amazing! … but with one big ask IPad Resolution Support

This is so great, and how can I give anything but 5 stars since it’s free and I’m sure has taken a ton of effort to get it where it’s at. The tables when they work on an M-whatever iPad work so well! Might be the smaller screen, but I can’t believe how well they look on the OLED iPad screen. Even on my phone they work well and look great. iPad is just a bummer to not get a full window experience. Would be forever grateful to have that enabled. Thanks for all the great work!

Nice, but needs polish

Coming from PC VPX, getting this set up wasn't too annoying but still requires a bit of know how. Past that, playing VPX tables on a phone is very nice, however in both tables I tried I couldn't see the DMD whatsoever, and a few of the other reviews mentioned even if they could see the DMD, there's no option to move or resize it from within the app, which makes the wide majority of tables pretty difficult to play.

Overall this is still a very respectable effort, as most of the app itself is well made and polished, its just missing vital features.
With a few more updates, I could easily see this app stealing dozens of hours.

A nice surprise!

I think back in the day it started as pinmame? I didn’t know this existed here until now. My loss. I don’t mind the extra steps to get this working. This is how it should be, really. All about the nostalgia. This appears abandoned, which is a shame. But for now, living the dream. Thanks for porting this over.

Nice game!

Really nice porting of visual pinball but please add landscape modeee

Potential

Very excited to find this on the App Store. But !! Every table I import is frozen or just doesn’t work. Hopefully some updates will fix this. Has huge potential

Awesome

Just need it to be easier to use.

Tables dont work

In have downloaded a few tables from vpforums and vpuniverse.
Nothing works. What have I to do now ?

Not bad

Any chance of a setting to slow the plunger speed? The slightest touch yanks it all the way back . It’s hard to make precision shots with the plunger so twitchy.

Come giocare

Da dove si scaricano i giochi ?

Awesome

This is a game changer, So fed up of zen releasing new versions of the same game, over and over and over!
This will be my new pinball app. Thank you

Nul

Ce jeu est injouable complètement nul

Awesome, but needs a tad bit more polish

I’ve been into pinball for a while, and seeing this pop up on the App Store was amazing, so of course, I tried it! I downloaded it for both my iPhone XS & my iPad 9, and when I got a couple tables working, I found some limits for this. 1) It depends on what device you’re using, and if you use an older device, some tables won’t load because too much memory is being used. This means that most games I have on there are old electromechanicals or solid-states. 2) I usually play on my iPad, because I have a keyboard attached to it and it works well, but I wish it had separate UI for iPad. The way it works is that it still loads, but it gives me the iPhone resolution of 9:16. Seeing it in the iPad resolution would be much better because then I would be able to see more of the table, say the backglass, or the layout. Also, as a side note, why do operator menus only work on some EMs but not on all machines? I’m still new to how VPX works, but having SS games on 5-ball mode would be nice. Anyways, I still really like it, and when I have my iPad on me, I always get a couple games on it. Good job, but the issues I have above would be something nice to add to the app.

VPX in your pocket

Really awesome way to play virtual pinball on the go. Super easy to set up with minimal file prep time on PC. Insane that I can play my favorite pins on just my phone. Like others have said, more ability to adjust typical table settings (e.g., opening the cabinet to adjust table volume) would be useful versus having to connect an external keyboard, but even that’s not too big of a hassle anyways. Excited to see how this is further developed.

Amazing!!!

Never thought it’d happen but I am playing visual pinball on my iOS device! Pinch me. All my favourite tables work flawlessly. Just make sure to read the setup instructions under App Support. Please update for iOS 16 if you are able to do so.

5 stars at the core

This is an amazing portable implementation of VPX that is even easier to use and setup than the full Windows release. That said, there are a few things that would be nice to see, such as a virtual dip switch panel (right now I need to connect a BT keyboard). I am also struggling to manage the camera angle. A couple of additional camera presets would be great. Lastly to help peek new player interest, maybe partner with a community table designer to include a higher quality sample table.

Not having fullscreen on the iPad is the only issue the plunger and outlanes have to be cropped off screen to be able to see however enabling display zoom > larger text in settings is a good workaround

Id love a list of most played tables to help make a top 10, and to sort the tables by file size since the share feature is great, saving graphics setting for each table would be helpful since some of them can be maxed out

Big bang bar, theatre of magic, CFTBL, monster bash, Bride of Pinbot, Blue Note, Super Spin, Balls a poppin, the shadow, No Fear, Radical and all the late 90s SEGA tables, in that order would be my top atm but I think most played list could prove otherwise

The ability to reposition the DMD can be done on vpx edit for the pc, adding some lines in the script and a text box to the backdrop, re-saving the file on google drive. I changed the songs and drew some custom art on the procreate app on the iPad for a table, I’ll probably make a custom one soon I like making cheat versions of tables horse kick center nudge for death saves etc.

operator settings to enable curse words on sopranos for example or adjust volume can be done with a Bluetooth keyboard. I used a keyboard app on the phone Its great solutions are there to be found.

It’s a lot of fun archiving the history of pinball on the iPhone, from ballyhoo 1932 to now, I downloaded like 100 tables so far I’ve been discovering alot of gems, recreations and originals thanks to incredible work of the community and the developers of this app.

Flipper2Go

Unglaublich was alles möglich ist.

Please link to table depository

Your countless hours of work are not getting the response it should get because it is too complex to get the tables to work. Works well but there should a direct link to tables in the proper format. Table creators don’t make money but do it for the hobby. The audience for the app would be huge if you simplified the ability to load and play tables.

Response from developer

Hello! Thanks for feedback. iPad and moveable DMD will be coming soon! For TOM, just add cheat=1 to the ini file in the pinmame folder, and you should be all set!
