Free version useless

Literally can only use 3 times under the free version. This means the timer is practically useless unless forced to pay. Very disappointed and deleting it.

My kiddo loves it! I’d love a way for the timer to be locked so kiddo can’t pause or stop it

Great app

My kid loves it. It helps her to stay on track to get her work done. It also helps that they have cute animals revealed when the time is up. A great incentive. Love it and will continue to use it.

Noise

I adore the visuals. However with ASD comes sensitivity to noise. Please leave us more options than 2, including one without any sound, while the timer is running. I am not able to use this timer because of this matter. I am sad as the app has fantastic potential. I paid $ 20 for the annual subscription, but will cancel renewal now, until and unless the intelligent lovely developer add on the aforementioned feature. 💔

Response from developer

Dear user, Thank you for your honest feedback. This is how we become better for you! We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate you bringing this accessibility issue to our attention. We're adding more sound options, including a "No Sound" mode, in our next app update, expected next week. In the meantime, you can turn off the sound using the switch next to the melody selection. If you have any other suggestions, please contact us at apps.utility.assist@gmail.com, we'd love to hear them. Best regards, The Visual Timer Team

Effective timer

My kids love selecting the different task timers ( e.g., brushing teeth, breakfast, homework). They are much more apt to stay on task. There are more options available with he Pro version, but even the basic one is solid.

A Game-Changer for Routines!

As a pediatric nurse and now a behavioral therapist, I’ve worked with children of all ages, and one thing is universal—transitions can be tough! The Mouse & Counter Timer has been a fantastic tool for helping kids manage time effectively while reducing stress for both children and caregivers.

Pros:
✅ Kid-Friendly Design – The bright colors and fun visuals make it engaging for little ones. Some models even feature cute characters or countdown lights.
✅ Visual & Auditory Cues – The countdown function with a gradual color change and optional sound alerts helps kids understand time without needing to read a clock.
✅ Helps with Transitions – Whether it’s getting ready for school, limiting screen time, or preparing for bedtime, this timer makes transitions smoother.
✅ Durable & Portable – The sturdy build means it can handle some rough handling, and its compact size makes it easy to take on the go.

Cons:
⚠️ Volume Control Could Be Better – Some versions may be a little too loud or too quiet, depending on your needs.
⚠️ Battery-Powered – A rechargeable option would be a great improvement.

Final Thoughts:
This timer is a must-have for parents, teachers, and therapists working with young kids or children with special needs. It fosters independence and helps with self-regulation, making daily routines much more manageable. Definitely a great investment!

Great for kids playtime

Was looking for an app which would help our kids time their play. This is simple and easy to use and fun for the kids. Playtime (and sharing) is much easier now! Would be good if it could be customised with own pictures but it’s a great free app so not complaining.
