Your health, where you'll see it.
You already have the Health app for browsing your data. What it can't do is put a number on your Home Screen. VitalPane does: pick the pane you'd actually look at, add it as a widget, and it keeps itself current every time a new reading reaches Health. No account, no sign-up, no ads — and nothing leaves your iPhone.
WEIGHT
• Your recent weigh-ins and which way they're going
• This week's average against last week's: the change underneath the daily noise
• Where the last month puts you in four weeks, if nothing changes
• The whole year, one dot a month
• Body fat, and whether what you've lost is fat or muscle
• What you log eating against what you burn
• An optional goal that turns "at this rate" into a date. Up or down, it doesn't mind which
MOVING
• Steps by now: where you are against where you usually are at this hour
• Move by now, for the calories you burn moving
• A fortnight of days on your feet, and which weekday you really move
• The hours of the day you got up in
• This week's workouts, and your longest, farthest and hardest of the last six months
• A streak with a floor low enough to keep
• Cardio fitness (VO₂ max), and load against recovery
HEART
• Resting heart rate and HRV against your own normal
• Recovery rate: how far your heart drops in the minute after a hard effort
• Overnight: breathing, wrist temperature and blood oxygen while you slept
SLEEP
• Last night, and whether you went to bed later than usual
• Sleep stages: deep, REM and core
• When your nights start and end, and how much the clock moves between them
• How much of your time in bed you were actually asleep
• Sleep debt over a fortnight, and what the weekend does to it
EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK
• Small, medium and large Home Screen widgets
• Lock Screen widgets
• A Control Centre control, also for the Action Button, that shows one number and opens its pane
• Every widget says how old its own number is, so a stale figure never passes for this morning's
MADE WITH CARE
• "Last 7 days" means your last seven weigh-ins, not seven mostly empty dates
• Sleep recorded by two devices is merged, never counted twice
• Direction is shown, judgement is not: down isn't "good" unless you say what you're after
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
VitalPane only reads from Health, and only the types you allow, one by one. It writes nothing, has no servers, no analytics and no network access at all. Your data is drawn on your iPhone and stays there.
The heart, sleep and cardio panes need an Apple Watch or another device that records those readings in Health. Body fat needs a scale that measures it.
VitalPane is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It compares readings only with your own history. If something about your health concerns you, talk to your doctor.
