I like this app, but do need to pay

I am very happy with tracking my vitamins and supplements. I do need to pay since I take several vitamin pills that are specially compounded. I did submit a request to change copper to mcg , it’s is mg right now. That’s too high. I would love to see a half pill option since some need to be cut in half.

I really like that new feature

Newest version finally has archiving feature for every element. That is what I wanted on my supplements, - when I need to take a break for a few months I can hide those elements to keep my list short. Once I need them I can just make them visible again.

Clean simple and effective

I like that it syncs with Apple Health and respects my privacy. Highly recommended 👍

我尝试了多个应用,只有这款真正做到了完全不要求账号。当我登录之后看到的唯一的设定页面就是开放苹果健康HealthKit的权限,仅此而已。这太棒了。

Taking a vitamin etc difficult due to conflating nutrients consumed in food

I like a few things about this app. Primarily that it syncs with Health. Which in turn syncs with my food tracking app. So I get a full picture of how much I’ve consumed each day.

Where this becomes an issue is that the amount to take has no set default. Instead it defaults to the most recent entry. Which means I need to pay attention and laboriously adjust the quantity each time I take a pill.

For example, I consume a meal that contains 2.2 mg sodium. Then I go to take my iron supplement of 27 mg. Finding the iron section on the app is easy. However, the amount showing is 2.2. So I need to adjust to 27. And it’s not a text box, it’s + and - buttons, so it takes a bit to complete the adjustment. If I even remember to confirm the amount taken.

Don’t get me wrong, I like that I can see my whole day’s intake. But, “Taking” directly is different than “Consuming” passively. They should be treated differently. I should be able to set a default for a supplement. Or, the default chosen by the app should not consider entries from food. Either way, it needs to be easier, and more foolproof, to track the supplements I’m taking. My workaround is to turn off this app in Health. Which defeats one of the benefits of this app.

Also, there is no help. None. And the settings button just opens the Apple settings for the app. No customization.

Overall, it does a few things well. And some not so well. I’m not willing to pay a subscription for such a primitive app with obvious design flaws and shortcomings.

Fix this one issue and I’ll give more stars.

Nice and simple

I checked tons of apps to track my nutrition and choose this one because it had what I needed (track what I want, Apple Health sync and reminders), and design of the app is minimalistic so I do not have to think much on how to use it. That really made me use it.

The perfect app

This app is perfect to track my vitamins. It’s helpful with my busy life with the reminders and tracking history. The free version is really good, which is the one I’m currently using. I think this app is the best I’ve used and hopefully every one finds it very useful too!

Great app, simple, and the price is right.

4.75 stars. Need to add more slots for supplements. The ability to export right to Apple Health is a great feature that only this app seems to have.

Missing notifications and impossible to contact

I am no longer receiving many of my notifications. The app also resets my reminders to random days. It resets them every day. There are more app crashes than usual when opening the notifications I actually do get which requires me to input individually. I might as well use an actual notebook. Also seems impossible to contact app support. App Store link takes you to Twitter. I would have just sent an email, but since that no longer seems possible or at least as simple as before, I will be unsubscribing and deleting this app quickly. It is no longer efficient, and if I am paying for an app, I need easy access to the developer. Unacceptable.

Great app!

Value app and would recommend!

Not robust enough

I expected so much more. I am disappointed.

Exactly what I was looking for but…

Hi this looks like a great cheap app and I just needed to be able to see all the vitamins I have taken shown on a list from apple health data and this is great but one thing I may suggest that would make it a lot better is allowing people to set daily goals or recommended ones for some vitamins that would perfect it like under/over sodium or protein.

Simple app - Great Dev Team

I recently found the Vitamin app when doing research on simple and easy to use third-party apps that integrate with the Apple Health app. A lot of the apps I found in the past have been too overcomplicated, trying to do too many things at once. Vitamin is an extremely simple and streamlined app that I have found to be incredibly straightforward and easy to use. There are definitely a few more features and tweaks that could be made to really bring out the potential of this app, and typically when an app is in that stage of development, it is extremely hard to offer feedback or get in touch with the necessary teams to make recommendations. When I suggested including an apple shortcuts integration, I got a response within a couple hours, letting me know that I had a fantastic idea and that my suggestion would be forwarded to the appropriate team. So far, this feels like a development team that truly cares about the quality of the app that they’re building and wants to maintain full integrity with it. I will 100% be continuing to use this app and I’m looking forward to seeing how it continues to develop and grow. I would strongly suggest giving it a try.

Nice and simple but…

This app is nice and simple. It isn’t trying g to rob my time like other apps. However, I get a total for my vitamins and supplements which is nice for those who know how much of each is required daily. I need that in a percentage for so I know if I’m reaching my body’s needed amount. If there is a way to switch to percentage and I haven’t found that yet please let me know where I can find it.
Also, is it would be nice to have Apple Health integration for those who are using other apps to track food intake.
Thanks for creating this app.

Not for me

This is not user friendly at all.

Has everything I need

This app is much easier to use than multiple other apps I have tried to track my vitamins. Simplicity is one of the major factors for my busy life. As medical doctor I can say this is one of the best on Apple Store. Ability to use my Apple Watch is another big plus.

Verified, Reliable, and Efficient! 🌟

I chose this app because it's one of the few on the Mac App Store that's verified to run smoothly on a Mac, unlike many others. With its impressive ratings on the iPhone App Store, I knew I had to check it out.

Since using it, I’ve been impressed! It runs flawlessly on my Mac, and syncs effortlessly with my iPhone and iPad, pulling data from Apple Health. The app's intuitive interface and real-time updates make tracking my vitamins easy and effective. 💪

For anyone looking for a reliable vitamin tracking app, this is a must-have. Download it now and take control of your health! 💪

It’s ok

There’s better apps available.

Great app!

This is the only app I’ve found that actually tracks vitamins and minerals ! I’m looking forward to seeing if you do add more supplements to track . But I love how it syncs with apple health .

I do have a suggestion , when you click on supplements or pills , if it’s possible to create an add all button on that page , or add button and then you can select all the supplements to add that day. Instead of individually going onto each supplement and having to add.

As it is just quite slow going at times. But anyways , thank you for this app!

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback and for sharing how much you’re enjoying the app! We’re thrilled to hear that you find it helpful in tracking your vitamins and minerals, and we’re glad that the Apple Health sync is working well for you. We are almost done with the next app release, hope we can get it to the store within 2 weeks because our rule is to release when it is fully read and tested. It would mostly iOS18 related release for better compatibility, plus a few UI enhancements Your suggestion for an “add all” button when selecting supplements is a great idea! It is already shared with the rest of the team. We understand how adding them one by one can take some time, and we’ll consider this for future updates to improve the user experience. If you find our response helpful and enjoy using the app, we’d really appreciate it if you could bump your rating to 5 stars. Thank you again for your support! 😊
