Keeps getting better..
I have been using VivaDicta for a while now and it keeps getting better with every update. This latest version might be my favorite yet. The new ability to switch back to your previous app automatically is really convenient and removes friction from an already smooth process.
The new Gemini Transcribe 3.5 was also added as its own standalone transcription model. Having it as a full transcription option gives you another elite, diverse, fast and accurate multilingual choice with nothing added since it's included in the API key from Gemini that everyone should be using lol.
This app has features I didn't even know I needed, like the Apple Watch app that lets you speak using a single‑button widget. It automatically saves your spoken transcription and groups it separately from other transcriptions. These other transcriptions (whenever you use the app within itself, on your Mac, and on the iPhone keyboard) are also automatically grouped separately from each other. It is clear this developer built this app with the users in mind. He's also very responsive, I brought up an issue for the paid Mac app (which I recommend) and he fixed it promptly.
I still love being able to change my prompt/preset, or “Mode”, while I’m talking, even after I already started the recording on my keyboard. Also love being able to speak in English and have the output automatically appear in Spanish (or any language you choose in your pompt) using one of the Modes I set with Gemini 3.5 flash‑lite as the AI processor (highly recommend).
I have never communicated with family members as well as I do today. Being able to express my intent in my native language and have them receive and understand it in theirs is a game changer. No other app handles this process as smoothly. I've even taken this to another level and added prompts within these modes to not only capture the translation but the enunciation alongside it for studying and learning. It all happens instantly with flash-lite, and it's free.
Between that, the model options, and how fast and reliable it's become, this is now my favorite app. It is truly a hidden gem. I'm still shocked more people don't know about it. It is more capable than a lot of the apps that charge costly memberships and it just keeps improving. I can't recommend it enough!

Incredible
This app is incredible. It does what it says it does really well. You can change the prompt or preset as you're talking. Now I can talk in English and my output comes out in Spanish automatically. I use Parakeet v2 for normal English transcriptions (free) with no cleanup and run it through Gemini 3.5 via API when I need translations, which I also believe it’s free. It's very handy that there's a keyboard alongside the button so you can edit the text if the transcription doesn't come out as you wanted it. I like how you can set different presets, not only for the transcription model and the processor but also for the different prompts. It seems the creator has thought out different things. I know this app will just continue to get better, so I can't recommend it enough!! The fact that this app is free for iOS compelled me to buy the lifetime version on the Mac and tell all my family and friends about it. I’m shocked more people don’t know about this app, despite being more competent than some paid versions out there.

Great app for real time translation
Fantastic tool to improve productivity and break language barriers! I’ve been using the app for several months and been very impressed. It accurately converts my speech into text even when I speak at a natural pace. The interface is clean, user-friendly, and easy to navigate, making it simple to start recording and transcribing right away.

Phenomenal
I am writing this entire review using this app, and I don't expect that I will need to change any formatting or correct any mistakes. It just works. It's as good as the best speech-to-text apps that I've used on MacOS. The keyboard works perfectly and it's an incredibly polished app. I literally have no notes. This is simply phenomenal. Kudos to the developer.

Dictation keyboard that “just works”
One of the most feature-rich yet simplistic dictation keyboard applications I've used and that includes Spokenly -- closest competitor app. It’s got all the features you would need in the simplest settings layout so far as of today. And it is the best dictation keyboard out of the numerous I've used on iOS and macOS. I also really love the quick dictation model switch so I can switch between specific language modes. Even if the network environment is poor, I can switch back to local dictation right from the keyboard without going into the app. It's also the least laggy of the many dictation iOS apps I've tried, with the immediate complements of haptic feedbacks. There's also even the holding spacebar to move the cursor function just like in iOS. 10/10 power user recommended

Doesn’t work anymore. Please fix.
It completely stopped working after I updated to iOS 26.2.1. I’ve also noticed that SpeakOn often fails to transcribe since that same update.
