Better than a normal remote
I have never felt the need to review a product before but this is different. I lost my remote earlier and did not want to go to the store, so I downloaded the Vizio app for my phone and begrudgingly paid the $20 for a lifetime subscription. It’s just as good (and probably a little cheaper) as a physical remote, plus more. I love being able to access the apps quickly from the app and how they save their spots depending on how much you use them. The layout is very simple and easy to understand. I’ll never buy a physical remote again.

You have to pay to use the remote
Our tv no longer would pair to the remote after only 9 months and my the tv in my other room quit after 5 months so I downloaded the app. I am NOT paying to use this app on their piece of junk tv because the piece of junk remote quit working. Vizio used to be a good company. Their new stuff is all a waste of money and their “warranty” is not meant to help the consumer because it’s cheaper to buy a different tv than send it for repairs.

Doesn’t work.
This remote didn’t work, and would not let me access the things I needed to do with my Vizio TV. It was greatly delayed, then would go haywire, and never let me get to where I needed to go. Don’t buy this!

Does not work as it claims, even with the in-app purchase it essentially forces you to buy to be able to use it. The app refuses to recognize my tv as a Vizio tv and will not connect to it, making the app USELESS. 100% a scam, do not download.

A revolutionary piece of technology that has traditionally required at least three buttons, two batteries, and zero monthly payment.
Naturally, this app decided to innovate.
This is supposedly a Vizio Smart TV remote, except there’s one tiny problem…
You have to PAY to use it. 😂
Because apparently turning your volume down is now a premium feature.
I downloaded this app expecting a simple remote. You know—something that lets me control the television I already own. Instead, I was greeted with the digital equivalent of a bouncer standing outside my TV saying—“That’ll be $9.99 to change the channel, champ.”
I’m sorry, WHAT?
Imagine buying a car and discovering you need a subscription to turn the steering wheel.
Imagine buying a refrigerator and being told, “You can open it, but only if you upgrade to Premium.”
At least those things would be useful enough to be simply absurd.
This app, however, apparently looked at the concept of tv remote and thought:
“How can we monetize the most ordinary object on Earth?”
This app isn’t providing some groundbreaking technology that allows my television to communicate with NASA.
It is… A remote.
A glorified collection of buttons.
And paying to access a virtual volume button?
LOL… Absolutely not.
At this point, I’d rather walk across the room and press the buttons on the TV like my ancestors did.
1 star. Would’ve given zero stars, but I’m scared I’ll need a subscription for that too.

How good your app is
It’s a good app. It helps me with my TV and it’s so good.
Nice remote!
Works well! Easy setup. This is a great solution when I can’t find the remote since my phone is always with me 🙂
Expensive
I used it about 5 times and after that it said I had to buy a plan to use it. Way too expensive for a remote
Got to use for about Four clicks then told me to buy the subscription.
It was easier to find my remote than spend money.

My Oldest Grandson 9 years old and I both want to hang on to the remote, we hide it from each other and hence hide it from our selves at times. I have about three remotes and all are lost today. I am using my phone.
I have too much in my living room as I sell things online.

Purchased the app for a lifetime fee and it won’t pair to my Vizio tv. I entered my IP ADDRESS manually and it says this isn’t a Vizio tv.
