If I wanted to be taken advantage of by greedy practices I’d subscribe to Disney plus.
It’s a great piece of software designed by greedy little goblins. You’d have to be insane to pay $5.99/mo because these goblins hold a 6th of your screen hostage You can do the same thing for free and without an artificial ad in the VLC app if you know what you are doing.
Simply doesn’t work
Installed the helper app on my MacBook. Both iPad and MacBook are on same network. The app just gets stuck on scanning for visible computers and can’t find anything. Deleted the app pretty quickly after that.
The permanent ad banner is a no go
I understand the need for monetization, but this is offensive.

Buffering…. Buffering… Buffering…
I have 100Mbps down, 40Mbps up, am using the same wifi connection at home on the same network and every time the video takes over a minute to start playing and it keeps stopping to buffer constantly. I’m only using 1080p quality and it’s still slower than a Monday at work with a hangover. Won’t be subbing, will find a different app for my streaming. App deleted.

While the automatic connection doesn’t always work, this is such a useful app for me! I’m certainly glad you made it and I hope it continues to survive. Particularly, it’s great to be able to watch my DVD’s on my iPad. I also appreciate that there was careful effort put into writing the various instructions on the site.

Seit dem letzten Update hat die App mehr Fehler als das es Verbesserungen gab. Hat man den VLC Player offen und sperrt sein Handy, spielt die App keine Videos mehr bis man das iPhone, ja nicht die App sondern das iPhone, neu startet. Somit ist die App nicht mehr zu gebrauchen. Schade eigentlich. Sollte schnell ein fix kommen werden auch wieder mehr Sterne vergeben

Unable to try app
It immediately pops up with advertisements for the full version. Subscribing to either monthly or Annually. Closing the advertisement only results in it opening up again. What’s the point in having this version, if it requires you to get the full version?
Garbage
I paid for the full version, and it just kept getting worse every update. Now it doesn’t even work. Save yourself the hassle
Why subscribe?
Why would you pay an ongoing fee to subscribe when VLC Streamer Pro does exactly the same thing, and it is ~$5 AUD one off payment? And from what I can see it is made by the same company…

I purchased an annual subscription and now the app is giving me adds again asking for a monthly subscription?? What happened to my purchase of add free for a year?

Paid for the full version
Even when I paid for the full version—I got his advertising—-I emailed him—2 days later advertising is gone—-after over a week —-advertising is back on…what does it take to get what you paid for?

Audio playlist bug
Create playlist button does not work in audio section and edit a song name/ title does not work in ios 16 on iphone pro max :( hopefully we have a fix soon.
