The app won’t even open

Title is self explanatory. Garbage

Terrible

This site will never work. I had to use this for an assignment and it took 6 hours (and counting) to submit my resume.

Not Opening!!!

I downloaded this app multiple time but it didn’t even opened once in all time. It kept crashing and got me back to the homescreen every time I tried to open this app. Developer please make note of this…

Great concept - poor execution on app and website

My school’s career office has an account with vmock, and the concept of an AI analysis I can use on my own time sounded great, so I decided to try it out. I visited the website on my phone and it was unusable - absolutely not made for mobile devices. So I decided to search the App Store to see if there was an app instead. Even just starting with signing in on the app I was guessing what I was typing as the text wasn’t visible - but it worked and I got signed in. I uploaded my resume and the summary analysis looked like it might be useful, but every time I try to view the important, specific detailed suggestions the app crashes. IU isn’t known for supplying quality apps and programs, so after the mobile experience with vmock I’m not sure I would take the time to try it on the computer. Great concept though, I hope it gets better.

Complain

Only I can upload 9 files!

Waste of time!

What they don’t tell you is, in order to receive valuable and useful feedback you MUST either pay a fee or recommend 3 first time users. And what’s most annoying is you must wait for all 3 of your recommended users to sign up; to move on to the next step.

Had Potential

The app automatically uploaded my resume without my selecting which file I wanted analyzed. Then I was not able to unload it to replace with the correct one. The FAQ’s were of no help either. I was looking forward to using this app because I really like the concept behind this, it’s too bad I won’t be able to use it as I intended.

A good tool that will get better really quick

This is a great tool for analyzing my resume. I’d recommend a couple improvements to the UX:

First, it’s a great idea to add button or link to website within app, if you’re going to recommend purchase through website.

Second, letting users know that they get (1) one resume upload earlier will help them decide on the value of the platform; it’s not intuitive that uploading a resume, then making changes to that same resume, is not considered the same “upload”.

Third, letting users know whether or not they can delete their resume upload and re-add the same resume is helpful.

Fourth, something within the faqs about pricing is helpful to save time from visiting site, as specified in the first point.

Fifth, in line editing of resume so that users can grasp the concepts as depicted in the summary section, would help with resolving point number two.

Sixth, some ui changes to the buttons that show more details would be really helpful for tech adverse users and using grey to distinguish paid and free features would be helpful; the arrows are helpful but real color variations help much better.

Seventh, it would be helpful to educate users of the need for variations in their resume based on the role they’re applying for would go a long way in helping steer users toward paid features; I don’t instinctively know if the features and unknown costs will add value without being educated or experiencing the features. I grasp the concept of having multiple resumes tailored to the JD of each application but others might not.

Hey there! We are super glad that you loved the product. Thanks a ton for the suggestions - we have gone through them and are working towards finding the best way to align them with the current system. Unfortunately we cannot allow a user to delete an already uploaded resume and we are working on making this message clearer. But the good news is you can now earn more uploads and premium access for FREE by just referring the product to your friends. We are also working on giving the app a total super cool makeover and we hope to make it even more seamless to use. Regards, Team VMock
