The first lesson included an example sentence that didn’t even feature the highlighted word — an instant dealbreaker for me. If you want my money, quality control and attention to detail are non-negotiable. On top of that, there was no option to adjust my initial vocabulary level once I realized it was far too easy. And yet another subscription-based app? Hard pass.
Here’s some advice: offer a free trial so users can evaluate the app, then charge a one-time fee for the full version. You can always sell optional add-ons later, as long as they’re worthwhile and don’t limit the functionality of the base app.
Life lesson for the kids out there - just because you pay for something every month doesn’t mean it has to be included in your budget. Don’t automatically include subscriptions in your monthly budget thinking you ‘have to’ pay it each month. Each subscription is a choice, your choice.

Not Free, But Is It Suitable?
I installed Vocab, Learn English Words. Which it said was free, in the App. but you cannot get any further, without a subscription!!!
As I’m retired and don’t get the chance to talk with people. I wanted something that kept me thinking, and improving, my language skills. I struggle with pronouncing words, as I cannot get my tongue around some words. I like the fact; you should be able to hear what the words sound like!!! But until you subscribe, you cannot try this out. And I don’t want something that I’m locked into paying ( made difficult to get out of, or hidden away so I cannot cancel when I want. ) Why can the app. just stop working, when there is a free trial period??
Rather than continuously; taking your money, for something you may of forgotten you have on your device. Because of this I am reluctant, to sign up to things that ask for money, I don’t have spare money. And have ‘OMO’ weight app. taking money every 3 months. (I’ve not used the app. since before the free trial ended.) I’ve tried to cancel it twice already. With not much luck as yet.
So I suggest a rethink, is required!!!
