I’ve been using this app since 2013. The app has changed a lot since then, but the version before the revamp was the best. Now the app is ad-ridden, only in Japanese, and the app constantly bugs you to upgrade to premium. This app used to be completely FREE for years, as well as NicoVideo, now there’s a subscription model just like with YouTube. It’s a shame this app has gone downhill. How the mighty have fallen. NicoBox was always my preferred way to listen to Vocaloid music. Right now, I can’t say it is due to Nico’s greediness and inability to create a good UI. Edit: Why’d you change the name of the app?! It was fine as NicoBox for years! People used this app for more than just Vocaloid too! Now the name is generic and has nothing to do with “Vocaloid Collecting”. Is Nico going thru an identity crisis? Edit 2: I know I’m just being nitpicky now, but the new app icon looks like a modern art disasterpiece. What an ugly icon redesign. Could you at least make it distinguishable from all the other music apps on the App Store? Ugh, Nico’s identity crisis continues.
UPDATE 2026: I can NO LONGER use this app because it FORCES me to update to the newest version, which I cannot install because my iOS version is too old, so I CAN NO LONGER use this app without buying a new phone. This is ridiculous, why does it require ios16? What new features in the app require it to be ios16, seriously.

I hate that there’s no English interface it’s just my first language is English and I need it to read but I know how to use a Japanese keyboard and what’s said in songs but I feel like it would be easier for there to be a English mode

tldr: its a pretty good app with free downloads and relevant ads.
however, it only comes in japanese.
it seems like a pretty good app so far! im still going to be using yt music for my main music app bc it has options for music other than just volcaloid but i will be using this one for when i go on walks because it has free downloads (yt music does NOT and i cant afford yt premium), and also this app has given me ads for things that are ACTUALLY RELEVANT TO ME like pokémon likr yt only gives me ads for mcdonalds and car insurance, im vegan, broke, and do not own a car, so they are annoying but this app KNOWS that its audience is otakus so THEY GIVE US OTAKU ads that are actually relevant and interesting! also, it only comes on japanese which is kinda a con and i mean i know hiragana and katakana so i can kinda figure it out and it should be helpful for learning japanese lol but it would be really nice if there was an english version

Doesn’t support English..
Great app! It’s free and has pretty much all the vocaloid songs! Only problem is the fact I think it doesn’t support English.. please make a way to change it to English because it’s pretty confusing heh

일본어로 되있는데 히라가나/카타카나 정도만 배운 사람도 플리 만들어서 곡추가 하기 쉬울정도로 UI가 잘되있음. 또 공짜인데다 신곡까지 빠르게 넣어주고 백그라운드에서도 재생이 가능+광고X여서 무료 앱중 베스트라고봄

I really like this app. I don’t have to download mp3s as much because all the covers and songs I want are right here! The audio quality is great and the ads aren’t long or irritating. I would just like to be able to delete playlists, for which I can’t seem to find an option for? If I’m wrong correct me, but I haven’t seen a way to delete playlists.

Hiiii :3 this app I would defff recommend, well if you’re into vocaloid. Either way it has pjsk songs which I adore with all of my heart. Reason why I’m giving this a 4 star is the fact that it’s in a different language that I unfortunately can’t understand. It would be helpful for me and others if you had the option to change to English or any other languages. But it’s understandable if you can’t
