Annoying
An annoying limit. So if you’re listening to something long you’ll be there so long. Because your either going to have to wait 30 minutes or watch 2 ads
Not great
Got the yearly subscription, and halfway through the month I’m being cut off from listening for a “monthly character limit”. So just know if you purchase the subscription you don’t even get unlimited access. The user interface is very basic and kind of dull, and there aren’t that many voices to choose from. The voice also mispronounces words quite often and doesn’t speak with the correct tone while reading.

English needs a good update
Totally ok with the free option, I am ok with the robot voices. HOWEVER!! It needs to be able to correctly read clear and plain English. One example is when it comes to the word shuffle, it reads shuff-lee prolonging the “E”. As far as I can see even if I upgrade nothing is done to better reading English just no ads and better voice options.

Highlight what you want to read off the Internet, and click copy, open the voice reader app, as long as you have it turned on in settings, your text will appear, click the arrow at the bottom of the page and start listening. You might get one page of a book for free, but you can watch a quick commercial to reset the app so you can read more pages. For a free app it’s perfect if you aren’t doing a lot of reading. I’m writing this in 2026, the upgrade is $8.99 to read more and get more features. I consider this a good deal.

Bait & Switch Scam
I THOUGHT I was buying a pay-once product. But the voice for that product is a sub-1980s robo voice. Unlistenable. To get a better quality voice, you have to make a SECOND purchase, and that is for a SUBSCRIPTION. The app should be banned from the App Store.
Frustrated!
I purchased the ability to use premium voices for $9.99, and I’ve tried everything to change from the horrible robot voice and nothing works. I also can’t contact support for help! Cancelling this one!
