Good app recent changes unwelcome

Has been really helpful for me, however, most recent update, changing the statistic screen, makes it much harder to read and understand the results at a glance

I hope you return to vertical arrangement instead of horizontal arrangement of pitch results

Please understand when one gets used to working with something, changing things is disruptive to established patterns and workflow

Simple and powerful tool for Voice Exploration with trans and non-binary people

As a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) working to help people to align their voice with their identity, Voice Analyst has been invaluable in providing real-time feedback for service users during exercises and when generalising in real-world situations such as telephone calls. The ability to set a range visually is really helpful.

Doesn’t work under 80hz

I’m a hypnotherapist and training my voice for a low resonant pitch around 60hz, but this app has a floor of 80hz so is almost useless for me as it can detect volume but not my pitch making it not functional. This should be made clear that is has a lower limit, but then why have a voice analyst that doesn’t analyse the full range of human voices?

非常好的软件,简洁、好用。

Response from developer

谢谢,我们非常感激!

Umm $10 for this?

The app doesn’t show pitch value as all.

I need to analyze raw data

Wish I could see comparison whether my voice pitch and volume are good or need to improve. If latter, where and how. It just shows me raw pitch and volume db data rather than analytic insights.

Corrupted files

Does a good job at analysis but most files I try to open are corrupt so it’s useless for comparing to previous. Thought it was better than built in app but useless since all the files I need are now fail to open.

Needs a pause feature

It's a good simple app. Needs a pause button. Would also like to see

Best app I’ve downloaded

A speech pathologist recommended this as an aid in my vocslization training to correct my hoarseness and weak voice. It is a great help in monitoring my vocaluzations and I’m inspired to do better. This app makes the vocalizations even MORE fun. Thank you!

어플이 안열려요

치료하면서 활용하고 있는데 잘 사용하다가 갑자기 어플이 안열려네요

Response from developer

안녕하세요, 이제 모두 해결되었습니다!

Not what I expected

No point in paying for something that your iPhone does for free with voices memos

It’s okay but could use an update

It desperately needs a pause button!

The folder functionality could be improved and the feature to select where to start and stop playing is quite glitchy.

Inconsistent

The app only seems to work every other time when in Volume is selected. Disappointed.

Good tool, not great for music

Love the specificity and simplicity of the tool. Would love to have options in settings to show key as well as hz. Just even on the side a little “C-C#-D” beside the bar. I know that’s not the main purpose of the app, but I did say helpful for singers and performers on the description. If this were an option in settings, would be a 10/10 great app for anyone working on their voice.

Really great for therapy, but 2 things…

I love the recording feature, analysis for min/ max/ and average, and target range. Two things that would elevate this app would be 1) the ability to filter out/ calibrate background noise before recording and 2) the ability to increase or decrease Hz and dB increment lines on the graph for better visual feedback.

How far away from phone?

No documentation anywhere
Distance has big effect on volume

How far away from face ? Thx

Brilliant for trans men and women

I have been desperately training my voice to sound more feminine and this app does a great job of showing me exactly where I am slipping up, or if my pitch stays high enough.

The app is perfect except for one thing - it doesn’t give you the notes, it only gives you the frequencies.

Voice pitch is very often measured by white notes you are hitting, so this would be an extremely valuable metric to add and quite easy to fix :)

Response from developer

Hi, thanks for the feedback! We've now added musical notes now to the pitch display.

Inaccurate pitch analysis

It would track my pitch as high as 300+ Hz. I took the pitch analysis in the professional therapy and result was 130-150 Hz.

Updated on June/16/2021.
The developer asked me to try the App in a quiet place. I always used the app in quiet room for practicing. The 200+ Hz is consistently recorded. That’s definitely inaccurate for a male.

Bad interface

Very bad interface and it just doesn’t analyze anything. Is this a joke? —It just tells you the hz value and how loud you are, and that’s it. I think they should call it a pitch monitor rather than an “analyzer.” There are many other apps that can do the same for free with even better interface!

Very helpful, good at what it does

This is a very helpful app, especially for looking at frequencies, etc. I’ve used it in the course of some voice therapy and it has been a key tool.
