Deserves No Star and Money Refund

For 6 years buyers have been complaining about this App not working and the Developer has done nothing about it. After getting me to spend $19.95 for it, this conduct on the developer creeps close to the boundary of fraudulent misrepresentation, in my opinion, and Apple is complicit in still allowing innocent victims to waste their money on it in the App Store.

Response from developer

We hear you. New ownership took over in 2026 and we've shipped significant updates addressing the core issues. We're actively maintaining the app now.

Scripts will not open

I spent hours recording scripts into this app. At first they worked OK but weren’t really fast. Now they will not even open. What a waste of time

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback. The script loading issue has been fixed in version 1.1 so scripts should open reliably now. Sorry for the frustration and hope the update works better for you.

How to slow down text?

There are no instructions on how to do this

Just fix this one thing please!

I am trying to create audiobooks, and being almost blind it is difficult, so I was really happy to find a voice responding teleprompter… I even bought the full at at £20, but then I used it. Even at a speed setting of 3, it skips along at about 100 mph, so I dialled it back to 2, and it stops responding. Just fix the speed to “2” at about 150 WPM and 1 at about 125 to 130 WPM and it will be perfect, just so long as it does not skip by at one paragraph at a time. 130 to 150 WPM is a reasonable speed. Great app enjoyable to use

Run AWAY!!

Not what it says it will do....This app doesn't go with your voice at all.. I speak and it doesn't nothing or it scrolls like a full paragraph when I only say one word... Why?

Not Ready for Prime Time

Great concept but it doesn’t work. It scrolls to quickly. I laughed at the review by the person who did a speech at Notre Dame. I can understand why he was so unhappy.

Whoever created this app need to fix it. For those of you who rated this app 5 Stars, you must work for this company. No way this thing works for working professionals in its current state.

Cannot import scripts

Cannot even test the free version with an existing script. It offers the option to import a script, but when selected a pop up asks if you want to upgrade to Pro version. If I select no, it returns to the menu. I don’t want to type in scripts on my iPad. If it is this difficult to try, no way I’ll buy it.

Locked out of app for a review

How do I get past window asking for a review?

Basically useless

Extremely simplistic, which initially was not an issue. However the app is not implementing speech recognition and only scrolls at a fixed rate. Not necessarily bad if you could regulate the speed, however the speed settings are not fixed. The programmer clearly made an absolute howler with the algorithm and you will spend your whole time going backwards and forwards trying to find the correct speed. 11 will be just too fast, the 10 will be way too slow, so you try 11 again and the text flies past at 100 mph, then 10 is way too fast, so you try 9 which is too slow then 10 flies past at 100 miles an hour.

I won't bother with the full price version as this is unlikely to be different in the 2 versions

Don't waste your money on the upgrade!

I paid to buy the upgraded version because this free one seemed to work better than the other apps, it said it would share from a variety of platforms so you don't have to rewrite your scripts onto the prompter, but it was a total sham...won't share from google docs, mail, notes, doxc, or any other...it even suggested I forward my document to kindle docs and try that, but NOPE, it will not share documents AT ALL. Don't waste your time or money...such a WASTE!!!

No rotation

The audio recognition works well even in noisy settings, but it only work in landscape mode. Would it really have been so hard to let it auto rotate?

Forced to review as well

I have been forced to review this in order to use it. As a result there is not much to review.

Refund my money

This app is garbage

Fantastic! Perfect for my needs.

As a therapist, speaker and author I am forever needing to record ads, cds and podcasts etc.
I’ve used other prompters but they have all run too fast or too slow. This one is just what I needed
No, it doesn’t recognise individual words and is only sound activated, but unless you make a habit of recording at an airport, on a building site or an industrial kitchen, it’s just fine.
The speed of play is fully adjustable and you can override it, if you over-run or have to catch up, just by touch screen and drag.
I like the easy editing and different colours for font allow for multiple performers or emphasis
If you want a Teleprompter, I would happily recommend this one.

Works as described

Needs improvement, as many have described, but ultimately useful if you making videos and need help with your memory or just a script

Shame it’s NOT voice recognition...

I thought this was a killer app until I realised it’s not using speech recognition to work like an actual autocue system, that knows what you’re saying, but merely stops when you go silent. I’m not sure how that’s in any way useful. I’m happy to stick to the original app and just insert blank lines for timed pauses.

Not following speech at all

It claims to follow your speech, which I turn will scroll for you. In fact, it simply detect background noise and scroll automatically with a predefined scroll speed. It does not follow your speech. And the detection is really off.

The claim that you do not need to set scroll speed is total bogus... Really disappointed. Liked the original version. Would really like one with proper speech recognition.

At the moment this is crap.

I made the mistake in trusting this app while giving a 30 minute speech at Notre Dame! Alls I can say is, I'd be sent to jail if I ever met the person who is responsible for it.
