I like the app but it needs work
Although I can feel myself making some progress by playing back the recordings and hearing my voice speak random phrases, the pitch reader seems to need some serious calibration on my 14 Pro Max. I saw other people in the reviews with the same model experiencing the same issue. Sometimes it works fine, but it usually spikes heavily in different directions in ways that do not correlate at all with how I've spoken.

I’d say that this app would get a two star rating because it works well except it doesn’t really have a timing system

This app was so good until they implemented a new version that literally made this app garbage. Now it does not work at all.

Pitch is not gender
Voice training with pitch alone is not going to make you sound more feminine or masculine

Update bricked it
Used to be great but after the last update nothing works. The app will open but that’s it, trying to use any of the tools triggers an endless loading screen.

The features work seamlessly and offer something for newcomers as well as people with advanced knowledge.
It also offers a wide range of customisation to fit your specific needs.
Big plus is if the ads do get annoying you don’t get locked into a subscription model to remove them but can rather pay a one time charge at a fair price.
All in all huge props to the devs for creating such a user friendly and easy to use app.

Random freezes
Used to be great until Jun 2026 update now unusable just random freezes - now a waste of space on my phone

The app has a long history of convincing people that their voice is feminine when it is not. Voice gender is obviously not determined by pitch, yet the app has repeatedly reinforced that misconception among trans women who are practicing voice training. People generally do not perceive a voice as male or female based solely on pitch; machines and algorithms are far more likely to rely on pitch-based measurements.
In a recent update, however, the developer appears to have doubled down on this confusion by lowering the “female pitch” threshold even further. As a result, the app has become even less reliable as an indicator of how voice-classification algorithms would categorize a voice. It’s a pretty hilarious update.

The app is completely frozen when I open it and nothing fixes it

Highly inaccurate at gendering voices which can be extra bad since this app is targeted towards transgender people, it just looks for pitch without proper analysis of voices

Some questions about the Software
"Hello, I have a question. I just purchased the ad-free service for Voice Tools. If I switch to a new phone in a couple of days, can I still continue to enjoy this service if my Apple ID remains the same? Does this app log in through Apple ID?"
App doesn’t work
Because of the new update, the app doesn’t work anymore. When you open it, you’re stuck frozen on the first screen and you can’t do anything but exit the app and wonder wtf
Significant regression
The original did a simple thing well, and this upgrade has added a slew of new functions and mucked up the basics. Connecting to Bluetooth in my car is flaky, when I hit playback after record it plays Spotify. (Always, even if I’ve closed the app) Playback over Bluetooth used to be synced to the marker, now it isn’t. Fine to add new features, but you’ve made the original features that worked so well worse. Not a positive experience.

Poor Support
It's a good app but a recent update broke the app, causing it to load forever when selecting any of its functions, and an even more recent update failed to fix the issue.

I used this app for the first time this morning to start vocal feminization training and can already tell this going to be of great use to me.
