Accurate & Timely

I use many aeronautical, weather apps as a commercial pilot and owner of a drone company. I can say this app is state of the art accurate and provides you information hours if not a day before the media! Highly recommend this app-pay it forward!

Much better since the long awaited update

With the 2026 update, app is much improved and data updates all working.

Thanks for your feedback! You’re right — there was an issue with volcano data updates at that time. This has since been resolved, and the latest version (2.1.0) is updating both volcano and earthquake data reliably again. We’d appreciate it if you gave the app another try!

Latest update

Too bad. After this latest update and the crash was fixed, now you can't get any earthquakes higher than 3 for more than a day unless you pay. Used to be a great app but now worthless. Sorry.

Sorry for the confusion - nothing changed in this regard with the latest update. In the free version, earthquakes below magnitude 3 are limited to the past 24 hours, as before. All larger quakes are always shown. The recent update only fixed the startup crash.

Best Volcanic App - When it Works

So normally this is the best volcano and earthquake app out there. But the recent update has made it so unstable it won’t even open on both iPhone and iPad. Please fix so I can continue to use an app I love!

Thanks for your feedback — and sorry about the trouble. A startup crash in the previous version caused this issue on some devices. This has been fixed in the latest update (v2.7.2). Please update and let us know if everything works again!

Bis vor kurzem war die App in der Tat total veraltet, aber wir haben es geschafft, sie zu aktualisieren: Wir haben die App komplett überarbeitet und mit Version 2.1.0 viele neue Funktionen eingestellt und Probleme behoben, darunter auch Benachrichtigungen und Stabilität. Vielleicht mögen Sie der neuen Version noch einmal eine Chance geben – wir freuen uns über jedes Feedback!

I was recommended this app by multiple colleagues. It’s a decent app but the settings and notifications are in need some TLC. I cannot tell if I’m selecting “yes” or “no” for certain notifications or if I want the map to show something.

In need to serious update

I have used this as my goto alert app for many years and despite being a little clunky, it worked - until it didn't.

Earthquake updates are still working, but volcano alerts stopped working on May 2nd 2025 with no sign of a fix.

Not sure what is going on with the developer, but this app has had no update in 5 years. Please do not make me test alternatives, that really is a ball ache.

You’re absolutely right: there was a longer period without updates, and the issue with volcano alerts around May 2025 shouldn’t have happened. We’ve since addressed this, and with version 2.1.0 the app has been fully updated, including working volcano alerts again. Development is now very much active again, and we’re continuing to improve the app. We’d love for you to give it another try — and hopefully we can keep you from needing those alternatives 🙂

Earthquakes still working but volcanoes has stopped updating. Disappointing as I love this app.

Volcanoes stopped updating

I’ve enjoyed this app for several years but the past month the volcano page has stopped working. I tried deleting then reinstalling, but it hasn’t helped.

Needs updating and Volcanoes have stopped updating

The app hasn’t been updated in more than 4 years now and is showing its age.
Earthquake updates are still working (May 2025) however Volcanoes stopped a couple of weeks back.
News feeds sometimes produce a good page 2 & 3 however page 1 fails to load.
Developer keeps trying to ask for money to develop a new version via external donations. Why not update the app and charge for a base version? I would go Pro but not if the app isn’t being updated.
