What's New in Volleyball+ Stats & Scorebook

8.0

June 17, 2026

You have been keeping the season organized, and this update is built for that work. Volleyball+ is cleaner in the places you touch most: match entry, coach group matches, position selection, stat cells, help text, exports, and the views you use after a save. - New Match and saved Match Details now feel more consistent, so the screen you start with and the screen you return to use the same compact stat layout. - Stat cells have been tightened on iPhone, giving more room to the match instead of oversized boxes at the top and bottom of the form. - The two-column stat layout now groups block and ball handling fields together under Block and Misc, which keeps related totals closer while reducing extra section space. - Position choices now show the full volleyball position name with the abbreviation in parentheses, such as Setter (S), Outside Hitter (OH), Middle Hitter (MH), Opposite Hitter (OP), Libero (L), and Defensive Specialist (DS). - The position picker is easier to understand for newer scorekeepers while still staying fast for experienced coaches. - Saving a new individual match now moves into the same Match Details experience used for saved records, so reviewing or changing the match feels familiar. - Coach group match save behavior is more consistent on iPhone, using Save to finish and return instead of jumping back in a different way. - Group match editing explains the flow in plain language: use Edit, make changes, then tap Save when you want to keep them. - Help text has been rewritten to sound like app guidance instead of release notes or code notes. - Old internal wording such as sample data, staged fields, and quick-added names has been replaced with clearer user-facing language. - Example stat actions are now labeled Try Example Stats or Try Example Match, which makes the menu easier to understand before you tap it. - Example stats still fill the form only after you choose the action, and they do not save a match by themselves. - Match Details help now explains saved lists, opponents, Match ID, stats, calculated values, notes, sharing, cards, and printing in a more direct way. - New Match help now explains typed players, teams, seasons, saved opponents, stat warnings, and example stats in one readable message. - Coach help now explains that shared match details apply to each named player row. - Team match help now explains who gets saved and how saved player rows work. - Quick Add help now uses friendlier wording for saving typed players, teams, and seasons to reusable lists. - Attack and serve warnings remain in place when attempts are lower than scoring and error totals, helping catch common stat entry mistakes. - Match Details keeps changes as you edit, and Save is still available when you want to make sure the current form values are kept before leaving. - Share, Print, and Card actions use the values currently on screen, so the summary you send matches the match you are looking at. - Export still supports spreadsheet files and restorable backup files for match stats, players, teams, seasons, and awards. - Import backup messaging still reminds you to export current records first when you want a copy before replacing local data. - Volleyball+ stays local first: no account, no cloud sync, and you choose when data leaves the app - The free match limit continues to count match sessions rather than every player row, which is better for team and coach workflows. - Several small layout and wording fixes make the app easier to use during a busy match, especially when you are on an iPhone. - The result is a smoother volleyball scorebook for coaches, parents, players, and team managers who need clean stats without extra setup.

User reviews

Works very well

Data was migrated and everything works great. Very happy with the refresh

The new version works great

It’s a lot more stable than it used to be and it’s got a lot more features especially the spreadsheet

Team stats

This is a pretty good app, but there needs to be a dig error spot not just a receive error spot and receive dig spot. Can we get that added?

Great for personal tracking

This app is great to keep my child’s stats. I don’t use for entire team as that’s very difficult to watch and cover. But this is perfect for single stat tracking.

Crashes

Purchased but not able to use because it crashes when launched.
