Amazing and Easy!
I recently downloaded this app for a tournament that required it to ref. First time using it and it was SOOOOO much easier than the paper. It tracks everything and is easy to catch mistakes. Made the game run much smoother and faster. Had very little problems, but when they did happen were easy to sort out. I used it at the Salt Lake Showdown National Qualifier in 2026 and was very pleased.

The R1 point of view
VS was at my tourney this weekend, and without question this is the future.
I will start with the positives. Matches are faster because tapping is quicker than writing. Scores are much more accurate when submitted to Championship. Sheets are not lost and the incorrect one is not used. No drinks were spilled on the app. I was not running to Championship for new scoresheets all day Sunday. Rotations are much clearer. It has a timer for the R2! No whiteout!
The negatives are not app based, but user based. Teams showing up without any prior knowledge will slow volleyball down. Download the app. Watch a quick video. Once the match starts, everyone loves it. It’s also easy to learn while you are using it.
And clubs, please check your rosters in AES because this will find your errors.

Makes it so much easier than paper!
People who say they don’t like this simply don’t take the time to learn how to do it. It’s so easy, but, yes, making mistakes can make things nervewracking to fix - just like when we all were learning the paper version. I had my 12s watch the tutorial before our tournament and we had no issues over our 3-day tournament.

Doesn't beat paper
This app doesn't beat regular paper scoresheet even though it might be "simpler" if you do mess up or do happen to get out of rotation the amount of time it takes to fix it is terrible. It messes up a lot and takes up way to much time and effort to fix it. do not use this app
Terrible app and idea
Terrible app, and terrible idea overall. Our athletes don’t use their phones at tournaments, and the tournaments don’t provide iPads so that means as a coach I need to let them use my phone for this travesty. I’m sure there is some kickback to USAV involved, but outsourcing child labor and my phone to reap the benefits is just a bad idea.
If you want this to work provide the equipment at each table to do it. Then fix the wonky UI. Hiring a designer or two might help as well.

Not very good
I’m a volleyball player and at our tournament the app was so wonky it ended up crashing, which delayed the WHOLE tournament games by two hours. People who drove like four hours had to end up staying until 7 pm. Also, it was very hard for all the officiating teams to comprehend, and it put a delay to individual games as well.

Libero sheet made fun and easier
App works great as long as ref has a QR code used it at 2025 USAV nationals and it was so intuitive I was able to use it with no training. We kept making bets on players name because it only shows there first initial (very fun) definitely recommend
HORRIBLE
As a volleyball player who refs at tournaments I have got to say this is the upmost worst app I have ever seen, It is hard to use the rosters are never correct and if this is the alternative for not wasting paper then why even score at all i have been doing the regular score sheet for over 5 years and it is way easier than this app I have spoken to many referees at tournaments and we all agree this app is horrible. I don’t usually write reviews but I have to enable to stop using this app at tournaments.

Very Easy and Effectice
Volley Station Score is SO much simpler than keeping book on paper. All you have to do is click a button when someone scores a point and click a new number when someone subs. It keeps track of the score when you sub, timeout, ect. And it is much easier on refs to keep up with a lot of paper!
This app is so confusing
The refs said it was to save the trees. We had to manually do everything; it would be better if the app actually had a big brain like me. The manual stuff was just difficult. Can you see the little kids in your dreams? They are crying because it is so hard to use. Make it easier.

I feel that this app is so confusing. The refs told us they just wanted to save the trees, but it was not beneficial to us whatsoever. We had to manually rotate the players on the court. It would be so much better if the app was smarter.
I HATE VOLLEYSTATION
it’s so bad I have a burning passion of hate towards this app, it’s so freaking bad, every time I open this app I get a wave of sadness and get flashbacks from when times were tough, I suggest ending this app and score system, it gives trauma to so many players! Thank you!
