Great app
Simple app that does the job and costs only a dollar unlike other apps that charge a subscription service.
App doesn’t work.
Maybe I missed something, but the app seems pretty straightforward. Literally didn’t work. No volume limiting whatsoever. I would not recommend other people purchasing this broken app.
Good and Bad
I just bought this fairly new app on 10 September 2022 (no star ratings or written reviews are visible yet). I may review again later. The app seems to work fine, but the maximum time limit is only 80 minutes and the time limiter cannot be turned off independently. Once the time limit is reached, the volume limiter stops working. Please make it possible to NOT limit time. Also, please ensure that the volume limiter STAYS on. Thank you.

Limit the Volume, with Limitations
Works, but doesn’t provide a foolproof solution. App must remain open in the background, and requires you to turn the limit on every 80 minutes.

Don’t work with youtube kids
Does not control the volume in youtube for kids.
Kids can turn it off
Great concept, but only if kids aren’t well versed in how the iPad works. My son knows how to close out apps. As soon as he realized that closing out the app shuts off the volume limit, he instantly shuts it off as soon as it is set up.
Does not work!
Running iOS 9.3, does not work for on-screen volume. Still able to control volume slider within YouTube, purportedly the very app that the developer targeted when they created this control.

Only restricts hardware buttons and not in app sliders. Totally worthless. Would like a refund
Volume control limited to 80 minutes
Purchased solely to limit the max volume on the iPad with no time limit. Unfortunately the max amount of time it will work without having to reset it is 80 minutes as it only works together with the screen time limit (between 5 and 8p minutes). That’s not what I paid for. Also, there is a constant out of tune radio like noise coming from the speakers as long as the app is active.

Seems good except that volume has to be tied to the screen time timer -not exactly helpful if this is for kids picking up a tablet in the morning etc since you have to take the iPad away to restart the app

Useful app, but could use a couple tweaks
This app works in the background to lock the volume as described, but I’d love to also be able to leave the the volume adjustable up to a set max value — allowing my kid to adjust the volume up and down, just not past the set max.
Also, it would be great to keep the screen time setting separate from the volume. Currently, the max setting for screen time is 80 min, and after that it turns off the volume limit. I’d love to be able to just set the max volume, and keep it active indefinitely.

Works well on multiple devices
Very useful for keeping sound down when my phone is being used by my grandkids as well as a timer to help set a time limit as it’s then easier to remove the device because the timer is letting them know it’s time to give my phone/device back and move on to something else.
Finally an app that does what I need!
It’s been hard to truly control the volume on my son’s iPad since he has figured out how to use the volume slider within the app he is watching. We could deactivate the buttons, but not the slider (come on developers!!) so he’d just increase the volume as soon as he got the iPad back.
Here is finally an app that can truly limit the volume level! It’s great and was clearly developed by someone with a child.

Just what I was looking for!
This app is the simplest and best one I’ve found for keeping control of my phone’s speaker volume. The screen time alarm feature is a nice touch too.
