Votiva: Catholic Prayers

Some days it is hard to find the words to pray. Votiva is there with you. Tell Votiva, in your own words, what you're living through: surgery, an exam, a child far from home, a joy you want to give thanks for. Votiva gives you back a Catholic prayer written for you, with a Bible passage chosen for that moment. A PRAYER IN THE SHAPE OF TRADITION Every prayer follows the path of tradition: calling on God, giving thanks, presenting your intention, entrusting yourself to Him and closing. You ask with confidence and leave the rest in God's hands, with no promises faith does not make. THE WORD OF GOD, NEVER MADE UP The passages come from the World English Bible, Catholic edition. Votiva never quotes the Bible from memory: it chooses among real passages and shows you the reference for each one. FOR YOU OR FOR SOMEONE ELSE Pray for yourself or for someone you love: your mom, a sick friend, someone who has passed away. You can ask for the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Saint Joseph, Saint Jude Thaddeus, Padre Pio and other saints. Then send them the prayer on WhatsApp: they get a link with the prayer and the voice to listen to it, with nothing to install. LISTEN OR PRAY ALONG Listen to your prayer in Votiva's voice. With "Pray with me", the voice reads phrase by phrase and leaves you time to repeat. THE HOLY ROSARY Pray the guided rosary, with the mysteries of the day and their Gospel passage. Votiva says the first half of each prayer and you answer. If you like, close with the Litany of Loreto. NOVENAS FOR YOUR INTENTION Begin a novena for what weighs on you: nine days in a row, a different prayer each day, and a reminder so you don't miss one. FOR EVERY TIME OF THE YEAR - The Angelus at noon, and the Regina Coeli in Eastertide. - St. Alphonsus Liguori's Way of the Cross on the Fridays of Lent. INTENTIONS YOU WON'T FORGET Keep an intention and Votiva will ask how it went when the day comes: to give thanks, or to keep praying. A MOMENT OF PRAYER EVERY DAY Choose the time of your daily reminder. Votiva counts the days you prayed this month, with no streaks to lose and no pressure. And with the widget, your home screen shows you what today brings. YOUR PRIVACY FIRST The name of the person you pray for stays on your phone: the prayer arrives with a blank and your phone fills it in. No account needed. You can delete your data at any time from the app. IN HARD MOMENTS If what you share shows you are in danger, Votiva shows you where to get help first, and only then the prayer. FREE TO START Your first three personal prayers are free, voice included. The rosary, the Angelus and the Way of the Cross are always free. To keep praying with personal prayers and novenas, subscribe monthly or yearly, with free trial days. Cancel anytime in your store settings. Votiva does not replace the prayer of the Church, the sacraments or the guidance of a priest: it helps you put into words what you carry in your heart.
