About
Open a PDF, an EPUB or a Word file in VoxPage and press play. The app reads it out loud and marks each sentence on the page while it is spoken, so you can listen with your eyes closed or follow the text line by line.
What you can open
PDF, EPUB, Word (DOCX), RTF, Markdown, HTML and plain text. Scanned PDFs and printed pages photographed with the page scanner go through text recognition on the iPhone or iPad first.
How it sounds
VoxPage reads 16 languages: English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Indonesian, Dutch and Polish. Turkish has its own neural voice that ships inside the app. The other languages use the voices built into iOS; for the most natural result, download a higher-quality voice in Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content. The reader pauses briefly at commas and longer at full stops, so long paragraphs keep their rhythm.
While you listen
Playback continues in the background with Lock Screen controls. Set a sleep timer for bedtime, line up the next documents in Up Next, and come back later to the sentence where you stopped.
While you read
Pick one of five reader themes and set the type size, line spacing and margins. Search inside a document, jump through its table of contents, and keep bookmarks and notes next to the passages they belong to.
Your documents, notes and listening history are stored only on your device. VoxPage has no sign-up and works offline once a voice is installed.
