What's New in Voyager Maps

1.3.0

July 17, 2026

Itineraries – You can now create trip itineraries (like day-by-day travel plans), add POIs to them, set budgets per currency, import GPX routes, share them via links, and see your stops previewed on the map. Works offline too. Favorites – Heart any POI and find it later in a dedicated favorites screen. Works offline. Sign in with Apple – Added alongside Google/Facebook sign-in. Registration is simpler (no more first/last name fields). Email verification – New accounts now must verify their email before using the app. GDPR consent popup – First time you open the app, it asks for telemetry consent (analytics, crash reporting, etc.). All Firebase/Facebook SDKs start disabled until you say yes. You can change this anytime in settings. Map search – A search bar on the map to find places by address (Mapbox Geocoding). You can also search from the itinerary screen. Better POI details – More info shown in the POI card: payment methods, WiFi, accessibility. Better icons and categories. Force update – The app can now show a proper update screen with a link to the App Store, and a maintenance mode message. Performance – Map loads faster when no filters are active. Dark mode no longer crashes. Offline POI viewing works reliably. For developers – CI pipeline on GitHub Actions, pre-commit checks, automated code quality, build scripts, and 30+ new tests.
