About

Free: three complete openings — the eye-flower, the bathing pools, the sun and moon — moving, with all their notes. The rest of the book you can browse as the original scans. One payment brings every page alive. Six hundred years ago someone filled 240 pages with plants that do not exist, women standing in green water, and a script no one has ever read. The book is real. It sits in the Beinecke Library at Yale. Nobody knows what it says. Voynich Alive puts it on the table in front of you and lets it move. Every opening begins exactly as the manuscript is: the authentic Yale scan, still. Hold your gaze a moment and the page comes alive — roots stir, bathers turn in their pools, stars catch light, a flower that is drawn as a human eye blinks. Turn the leaf and the motion settles first, so what turns is always the real page. WHAT IS IN THE BOOK Twenty-one openings — not all 240 pages. This is an edited selection: the strongest images in the manuscript, and the leaves where researchers have actually found something to argue about. Yale publishes the complete scans for free, and dozens of nearly identical herbal leaves with them. This is the other thing: fewer pages, each one worth stopping at. A second batch is being made, following what new research turns up. It arrives as a free update: buy the book once and every opening added later is already yours. • Twenty-one openings, from the ex libris to the last page of recipes • The herbal, the pharmacy, the bathing quire, the zodiac, the great foldouts • The nine-rosette sheet and its castle with swallowtail battlements • Both sunflower pages, side by side, so you can judge the claim yourself WHAT IS IN THE NOTES Marks sit on the drawings themselves — on the eye, on the crossbow, on the Pleiades, on the scraped signature. Touch one and the book leans in and enlarges the detail while you read. Every note is about the original leaf, not about the animation, and every folio has been verified against Yale's own scan. Under each opening: a short account of the page and the readings researchers have proposed for it — including the ones later overturned. Where a claim is disputed, it says so. HOW IT BEHAVES • Notes off by default: first the page, then the argument • Freeze the motion at any time and study the still original • Sound on or off; each opening has its own • Hold an arrow to run the whole book to the beginning or the end • Ten languages, all of them from the first launch, free No advertising. No subscription. No account. Nothing is collected. ABOUT THE SOURCE The pages are scans of Beinecke MS 408, digitised and made freely available by the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, Yale University. The manuscript itself is in the public domain. The moving layer is an interpretation laid over the original — the still page underneath is always the real one, and a single tap brings it back.
