Absolutely ruined with ads im not sure the dev has tried to watch anything since increasing the ad rate but they should to see how useless the app is now
Needs an update
Hopefully this will get an update and support more codecs. It used to play 4k videos with different codecs smoothly but dont know after the ios26 update some codecs doesnt play properly and stutters.

best free vrplayer
loop feature needs some serious improvements, like caching or something idk. videos stutter and freeze even when downloaded. vrplayer helper did not work last time I tried it, but had worked in the past.

It functions quite well with the videos it works with and is easy to use.
VR videos I try from the last two years don’t seem to be compatible but the older ones all work great.
It says you can load from Google Drive which would be incredibly helpful for phone storage when viewing VR. Unfortunately Google says not to trust the app with your information and will auto revoke access. So I’m leaving this review in hope they fix that!

Die Helper-App fordert unsinnigerweise Adminrechte ein und soll natürlich installiert werden, was vollkommen unnötig ist für den Zweck der erfüllt werden soll. Laut VIRUSTOTAL.COM (<-also Google) ladet Ihr Euch damit einen „Dropper“ runter auf Eure Windows-Maschine und der wiederrum will aufs Internet zugreifen (als reine LAN-Anwendung, is klar) und lädt dann die richtig üble Malware, vom C2-Server nach, wie LummaStealer und natürlich auch Ransomware die all Eure Daten verschlüsseln wird.
