This simply does not work
I have no idea how this has such a high rating nor how so many people use it.
The photos that I selected for it simply don’t show up in the app, and I have no way to edit them. It just keeps telling me to add photos, and when I do, nothing happens.
And that was after signing up for an account (why?), then selecting the photos that it should have access to, then declining its offer for me to join a photo contest, then declining its offer for me to download their new camera app…
and now they’re sending me spam emails.

My favorite app ever!
Been using since 2015 and have made albums for every trip since <3 (big traveler). It’s the best online photo diary. I have so much fun editing!

I am actually taking the time right now to write a second review after learning if you use certain choice words it will be removed. I literally cannot rest until you receive this message, so I’ve taken it upon myself to convey my feelings towards you as best as I can, without using the wording most fitting for this grotesque situation.
You are truly, an abomination to this planet and everything on it. You are… a complete and utter incompetent idiot and you genuinely deserve less than nothing. I can imagine no other reason why such a worthless imbecile would have employment during a time like this, other than some sort of program similar to affirmative action for those who are MENTALLY INEPT.
Today while I was trying so desperately to update my account on my month, everytime I would refresh the page and my hard work would diminish. I couldn’t help but think to myself that the morally corrupt individual who decided to implement this should actually be tarred and feathered at the next meeting! I couldn’t help but wonder what this useless ugly rat could possibly gain from this besides my undying hatred and rage. If you were looking to just ruin innocent bystanders day I want you to know that you were successful. Probably the first time in your whole. Pathetic. Life. I wish you nothing but awful things, you are… the worst! If you want to act like that pleas resign from your position immediately and clock in at your nearest McDonald’s. kinda sucks now. like why is it so hard to just do they basic functions

Even copying edits now costs money. I’ve been using VSCO since probably 2012/13. I purchased a lot of the original presets back in the day and have paid for pro on and off over the years but it was expensive even when I did, and has only gotten even more so since. Like many others complaints, everything costing is a huge deterrent, even simple tools that other apps offer completely free and that VSCO once included for free... it just feels a bit like a sunken cost fallacy I guess because of how much time and money I put into the app all these years. I want to love you still VSCO, but I literally cannot afford to. :(

If you’re editing and use other apps it’ll close without saving your work. Take notes from Snapchat cause it’s hella annoying

Subscription Cancelled and Charged
I did a free trial and I cancelled it but now I am being charged $39.99 for an app I do not want and I can’t download my dexcom app to track my blood sugar because I have this $39.99 outstanding balance. I genuinely do not have that amount in my bank account. I am a teacher at a low income school. I can’t afford this charge, I don’t want the app, I cancelled the free trial. So please help me resolve this.

This app is 100/10
I have had this app since 2020, and have loved all the creativity on here. Watching the app grow has been so cool to see. I would recommend VSCO over any other platform, I like how there isn’t a follower/heart counter and how simple it is to navigate. You can even make a website out of it your page, which is super cool.

Can't get rid of the AI lab option. I dislike AI being pushed and shoved down our throats in every app.
Charged me without approval
I am not new to apps, and I consider myself tech savvy. Usually when I download a new app, i will cancel the free trial as soon as i sign up. With this app, I never signed up for a yearly subscription, yet this app charged me $79 for the year! Their contact us button does not work on the app either. Do not download this app and if you do, make sure you cancel subscription before, even if you did not sign up for a subscription. The app didn’t even do what I wanted it to do with the image I tried to have it edit. In the end, I would say just do not download to be safe!!!

Devs ignoring all the bad reviews and couldn’t care less about the original users
I had VSCO since it first appeared on the App Store, bought most of the filters which are excellent. Then the subscriptions came along, I upgraded, was paying a yearly subscription on top of all the money I’d paid initially for the filters. Then they introduced a pro version on top of that, features that were once free became locked behind a paywall, no consideration for the original users who backed this app from the start and helped it grow in popularity, all they care about is money, Its no longer a photography community and has had a serious fall from grace. I’ve since cancelled all the subscriptions because quite frankly there are much better apps out there for photo editing, the features are very limited and the whole app is very laggy and bugs out so often it’s laughable (despite it being on my iPhone 17 Pro Max), literally been ran into the ground by greedy developers who’s only response is ‘sorry to see you go, please click this link for a refund’. I genuinely hope the app gets boycotted by more people for what they have done and how they have no loyalty to those who invested in them to begin with. If you’re going to charge so much on top of what you’ve already charged at least make the app the best there is. Deleting it and won’t be coming back unless they address this greediness.

I used to love vsco because if was an app I could post without comments or worrying about popularity. Lately it's been super "insta" girl leaded. I get apps need money, but we'd pay for an app that is for the people not the money
