Light mode grew up Dark mode was always the good-looking twin. Light mode used to be dark mode with the lights left on — washed out, gold that never quite glowed. Now it's got its own everything: a porcelain palette that lets gold actually be gold, a background that shifts temperature with the time of day, and a main button that's a deep-roast island of dark in a bright room. It looks expensive. Flip to Light in Settings and have a look. One coffee, one opinion Your last shot choked. It ran slow. Every screen agreed it ran slow — and then Vurr cheerfully told you to grind finer. Cool. Very helpful. Fixed. The dial, the receipt, and the flow note used to be three coworkers who never spoke. They've had a meeting. If your shot ran slow, everything says so, and the recommendation always lands on the correct side of the pull you actually just made. Your shots outrank our guesses Vurr makes some assumptions about your grinder before it's seen a single espresso. One of them had been quietly overruling real shots you pulled with your real hands. It's been put back in its place. Guesses advise. Your coffee decides. It finally notices a choke A shot gasping through the puck is choking whether you rated it one star or five. We used to only listen once you'd dialled it in — exactly when you didn't need the help. Now the obvious stuff gets flagged from your very first messy shot. Two backwards tips, quietly reversed "Under-extracted — try a coarser grind" was advice from the upside-down. It's the right way up now. We won't discuss how long it wasn't.
