I've genuinely never left a bad review on any app or restaurant, but this is the worst app I have ever used in my entire life. Half of the links don't even work, or they take forever to load. When you finally get the app to load, you're bombarded with Ads. I'll stick with my YouTube meteorologist.
This app is horrible. I don't see how it has any positive reviews. They had to have paid for these positive reviews.
Also, I have a brand-new iPhone that is updated. So, it isn't that.

Used to be good now terrible
Takes forever to open. Can not opt out of ads automatically playing. Used to be a great place to read the news. So many ads that even the videos take several minutes to just get to. So sad

What happened to the functionality to be able to share a link to a news story??
Why does your “video” autoplay with the volume on??!! Do you know how embarrassing it is to try to read a “breaking news” story and have your promotion blaring for all around you to hear??
Why is the “video” now only a promotion and no longer followed by the video segment??

Auto-Play audio
I understand ads may be necessary, but auto-playing audio is unacceptable! I can not trust opening the news link in a quiet environment. Will have to look elsewhere for news.

I can no longer read the news I want to. I have to watch the video and it’s no longer user friendly.
Too many advertisements
Especially pop ups and banners! I really hate that advertising automatically starts when I try to read a story. There’s no way to turn it off! 😤 The app is basically useless for me. I guess I’ll start using WAAY or WHNT!

Inescapable pop ups
What is up with all these games ads that pop up before I can read the Breaking News updates? I have always used WAFF for breaking news and enjoyed it. Recently, I’m getting these pop ups that I can’t click out of and it’s very annoying. Is there some way to stop these inescapable pop ups before I go running to the competition for breaking news?

Madison county kitchen cops had to go through an ad
Give me a way to “X” out of the ad. Other counties have their link going directly to scores. Madison county had some ad staying in a holding pattern forever. Not a fan of that approach.

I get it that ads are necessary, but I will not “listen” to them. There are many, is not most, times and places when audio coming from me phone is inappropriate. Please provide a mute option.

Very reliable/dependable app and almost always flawless accuracy! Highly recommended for the entire TVA region including AL and TN.
Clunky and Terribly Outdated App
You can tell someone is REALLY been given the directive to market market market and push the ads so aggressively that their audience followers are more aware of ad space and promotions rather than news itself. Also, it can be a bit glitchy. Too many useless notifications even though you can adjust the settings

Fake articles that are really ads! Grandma robbed at Guntersville store!!!!
Ad-infested junk
The app has devolved into a holder of junk ads that won’t close and prevent you from seeing any “news”. Sad state of affairs for a decently liked news station. This app is junk, and I’d be better served standing outside and listening for the goings-on around me than trying to gather the news from WAFF’s app.
Do yourself a favor and don’t get the app. If you have it, delete it.
