OUTLOOK & MICROSOFT 365 CALENDARS Connect an Outlook or Microsoft 365 account in Settings > Calendars and it syncs both ways, right alongside Google. Pick which calendars sync, who each one belongs to, and where new events get written. A household can mix Google and Microsoft accounts freely. SUBSCRIBE TO ANY CALENDAR LINK Paste a school schedule, a sports-team calendar, or a published work calendar into Settings > Calendars and its events show up on the family calendar - no sign-in, no setup, nothing to approve. Feeds refresh every 15 minutes, can be mapped to a person for color, and can be marked private. Their events are read-only, and a feed that stops working says so instead of going quietly stale. BUILD A MEAL, NOT JUST A RECIPE Dinner is rarely a single dish. The new Meal Builder lets you name a meal, add sides and dessert from your recipe library, set how many it serves, and pick who's cooking each dish. Schedule it to a night and it fills that slot as one meal, or just send its shopping to the grocery list. Saved meals sit in your library with their own Meals filter, and search finds them by the meal's name or by any dish in it. Tap "Add a side" to pull in another recipe; press and hold a dish to move it under another heading. COOK A WHOLE MEAL, DISH BY DISH Cook Mode now takes a meal as well as a single recipe. It tabs across every dish on the plate, and timers keep running as you move between them, so the rice doesn't quietly overcook while you're reading the chicken steps. Each dish remembers its own place, a timer that goes off tells you which dish it belongs to, and jumping to its step offers a "Back to step 6" pill that puts you right back where you were. SHOPPING THAT MATCHES HOW YOU SHOP "Add to grocery" now opens a picker, so you can add a recipe's whole ingredient list or only the parts you actually need - pantry staples are flagged as "likely on hand" rather than left out on your behalf. "7 to buy" opens into the actual ingredient names, on a recipe and on every dish in a meal. A meal shops as one thing: its ingredients group under the meal's name in the By-meal view, with a colored dot showing which night each row is for. You can also tag items with a store and flip to a By store view to shop by shop. SHARE ANY LIST "Share list" turns everything still unchecked into a clean text list and hands it to the share sheet, from the grocery board or a custom list's menu. Items are grouped the way you read them - by aisle in walking order, or by section - with quantities, the store, and who it's for. SMALLER THINGS Lists now refresh on their own while one is open, so someone checking an item off on their phone shows up without a reload. The goal Log sheet's "What did you do?" chips now suggest notes you've logged before, per person and most-used first. And the Waffled-Bite control panel keeps itself up to date while you're watching it. FIXES - "On hand" on a recipe now means what's really in your pantry, not just what's marked a staple. - Recipe photos show up again on the detail hero and library cards, and you can now remove one while editing. - Grocery quantities read like a recipe again: 2/3 cup and 1 1/2 lb, not 0.6666666666666666 cup. - Month, Week and Day views now say which month you're looking at, with a Back to today button. - Recurring event edits keep the whole series intact. - "Add to grocery list" opens full height on iPhone instead of a three-ingredient sliver. - The iPad screensaver waits instead of dropping over a keyboard you're typing on. - Cook Mode timers survive turning off calendar reminders or signing out. - A failed save no longer looks like it worked: countdown edits, Family Night assignments and chore photos stay put and tell you to try again. - You can change a list's emoji from inside the list.
