About

WageBeacon helps shift workers understand the pay they should expect. Enter your hourly wage and the rules that apply at your employer, then add your shifts to see a clear expected gross-pay breakdown. Add shifts manually, from selected calendar events, or by photographing or choosing a clear roster image or PDF. On-device text recognition suggests dates and times. You review and edit every proposed shift before it is saved. See base pay, evening, night, Saturday, Sunday and public-holiday bonuses, plus daily and weekly overtime. Exact calculations use the rules you confirm for each employer. Weekly overtime also checks hours needed from the surrounding overtime week, and WageBeacon marks a result provisional when information is missing. Compare the result with the gross amount and individual bonus lines on your payslip. Save a frozen calculation history and, with the full version, export PDF or CSV reports that keep the original shifts, rules and results. For a take-home estimate, enter your own withholding percentage or derive an effective percentage from gross and net figures on a recent payslip. This is an estimate; tax, pension, insurance, deductions and reimbursements vary by person. Your roster files, recognized text and wage information stay on your iPhone. WageBeacon needs no account, contains no advertising and has no subscription. Try one fixed weekly, four-weekly or monthly pay period free, with unlimited shifts for one employer. A single permanent in-app purchase unlocks every pay period, multiple employers and report export. WageBeacon provides estimates based on the information and pay rules you enter. It is not tax, legal or employment advice.

What's New in WageBeacon

1.2

August 16, 2026

WageBeacon now gets you to a useful result sooner. Compare your estimate provisionally while some pay rules are still unknown, then finish a guided rule review before saving a definitive check. Shift entry shows duration, breaks and paid hours before saving, and roster and payslip recognition propose more details for you to review on device. The free period is easier to correct, the one-time unlock is clearer, and you can optionally schedule a private local reminder near the end of a pay period.
