Way better than that green bird!
For anyone on the fence: even as someone early in their Japanese journey, this has been the most genuinely fun language apps I've tried. I'm excited to keep going and see where the rest of the journey takes me. To the developers, I appreciate you. This is clearly a labor of love.
Best App for learning Japanese
Instead of taking the green bird’s approach of trying to give a dopamine rush with every single lesson, every single question, every single time you open the app, Wagotabi instead creates a calm and peaceful environment (through music and art style) and makes it feel very rewarding when you learn a new skill, or even a new word!
Wagotabi truly feels immersive in a way that no other single app has ever before. 10/10

Amazing if you know hiragana and katakana already
I do wish there was more training on recognizing kanji as it’s almost everywhere as you progress in the game. It’s repeatedly shown but like maybe how to write it so it sticks? Idk. I love the game and have very little complaints

Latest update 1.00.0524 prevents gamepad cursor from reaching past the top half, and rightmost 3rd of screen. Visually the cursor only reaches a portion of the screen but out-of-reach UI elements still respond to it in the background. Seems like a drawing issue.
