FAQ

What does WakeUp do?

WakeUp is a tool that allows your iPhone, iPod, or iPad to wake up, sleep, or shut down computers. It can perform these actions over a local network or via the internet, providing convenient remote control of your devices.

What are the key features of WakeUp?

Key features include the ability to wake, sleep, and shut down computers, automatic discovery of devices on your local network, support for multiple computers and groups, iCloud synchronization, and the option to wake devices directly from the springboard.

How much does WakeUp cost?

Based on the provided information, this application is a paid app. There is no mention of free versions, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

What are the requirements for using Wake on LAN?

To use Wake on LAN, your iOS device must be on the same network as the computer. The computer needs to be connected to the router via an Ethernet cable, and its network card must support 'Magic Packets' and be configured correctly. For sleep/shutdown, specific server software or configurations may be required depending on the operating system.

Can I use WakeUp to wake my computer from outside my home network?

Yes, WakeUp supports waking computers over the internet. However, this requires additional configuration of your router and firewall to correctly forward 'Magic Packets' to your computer. Compatibility can vary depending on your router's capabilities.
