Does not work
Ditto to the prior review from. 4 years ago. Does not archive the video or, gets a black box that when you open it crashes the app.
Cant get to record anymore ?
Love this app when it works ! But no one to call or help you get it figured out ? ………. Before I’d just delete it and start over, now it just spins and won’t record ????

This works sometimes. It should record video to the normal iPhone video app and allow slo-mo.

Good, bad, and ugly
What the app does well — in Auto mode, it does a great job of starting and stopping video recording at the preset speed. This is a great feature especially when taping slalom practice with just one ski buddy.
What it does not do well— image stabilization is not good. Not nearly as good as the native phone video app.
The Ugly — the app seems to take control of the built in video app away from the user. Specifically, optical zoom, frame rate, and image resolution. Especially when paired with iPhone 11 Pro Max, it is a shame to take video settings control away from the native app.
All we need is an app to turn the built in video camera on and off based on GPS speed. No need to get fancy. Just a speed based shutter release please.

App Needs serious update!
i love the camera mount but it’s a lot off money to spend when the app is so out of date and doesn’t work most of the time

In need of serious update....doesn’t record always and you get a black box that can’t be deleted and causes the app to crash. Works great when it works!
Used to work well before the latest update
On my iPhone 7 it will record all video in slo mo. So I have to then go back and edit a video before I can watch it. Even though it’s set to auto record it will stop recording in the middle of a run 70% of the time. Very annoying and disappointing.
Buyer beware
I’ve this thing for a year. All the screws loosen up for no reason all the time. The app just plain won’t work with iPhone X. Trying this update to see if anything is different. The whole thing is about to go into the junk pile.
When it works
I love the app, sometimes. I have 2 Apple IPhones I use. My 6S has stopped recording automatically. I cannot get it to change from manual to automatic. My 6 only records in slo-mo. If I want to watch anything in full speed, I have to put it in a video editor app I downloaded specifically to deal with this issue, then figure out how to speed it up to look remotely normal. I also have the Wakeye on my pylon which was $350 but is basically worthless when I can’t record anything.

Need date and time
This ap is wonderful, but you need a way to delete a bunch of files at once. It would also be nice to have the date on each set of recordings so you can easily refer back to a given day. We use this for competition slalom skiing practice, and we always do 6-8 passes per set. You have to manually count back 6 videos to star from the beggining of your set that night. If files were grouped by date and time, that would give this ap a 5 star rating!
