Walkimals connects to Apple Health to import your daily step count. This allows the app to accurately reflect your real-world activity and progress towards your goals.
While the core step tracking relies on your device's connection to Apple Health, many features like customizing your mascot and viewing your closet can be accessed offline. However, social features and shopping require an internet connection.
Walkimals focuses on general daily step tracking rather than specific workout types. It encourages consistent walking to earn rewards and maintain streaks, making it suitable for everyday activity.
The accuracy of Walkimals' step tracking depends on the data provided by Apple Health. The app explicitly states that raw Apple Health samples are never uploaded, ensuring your personal health data remains private.
No, Walkimals does not contain advertisements. The app is free to download and play, with optional in-app purchases available for cosmetic items.
