Lovely app, but severely limited

No sub. No login. No games. That alone earned 3 stars. Unfortunately, that list of “no” includes no interplay with Apple Health nor Apple Watch. Any walk conducted outside the app doesn’t exist. I’m not looking for another receptacle for my data, which just adds confusion. I crave an app pulling in Apple Health data, with room for my notes as well. This ain’t it, but I respect the dev’s right to design whatever app s/he wants. Oh well, back to searching.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to write this. You're right that Footnotes only knows about walks you record inside the app. That's a deliberate choice for now: the route, the steps and the notes are captured together in the moment, which is what makes each entry feel like a page rather than a data row. But you're not the only one asking for Apple Health, and I hear the point about not wanting another silo. Importing walks from Health so you can attach notes to them is on my list, and reviews like yours move it up. Either way, thanks for giving it a fair look!
