What's New in WalkingStar
1.0.2
June 9, 2026
Reliability + polish. - The pad reliably wakes from deep sleep when you start a session, even after sitting idle for a long time. The app now bounces the BLE link if it detects the pad has stopped responding, then runs the full standby → mode → start handshake. - The Live Activity now disappears from the Lock Screen immediately when you end a walk, instead of lingering for hours. - BLE writes now respect CoreBluetooth's flow control so commands aren't silently dropped under backpressure. - New 'Wake pad' button in Settings → WalkingPad runs the wake handshake on demand if the pad ever gets stuck. - New per-packet diagnostics card in Settings shows the raw status bytes the pad sends. - Small version pill at the top of Settings so you can see which build is running.
