Terrible update
Since the last update I've been unable to access any previous issues, any attempt to restore back issues ends with an error message. So frustrating, hopefully future updates will fix this problem. It's disappointing that such a wonderful magazine, with an emphasis on good design, has such a poor app.

Really enjoying the app but my February Issue hasn't even appeared in my library, tried contacting Wallpaper with an enquiry about it but to no avail so far. Paid for a years subscription didn't expect to completely miss an entire issue. I have checked to see if there was a February Issue released and there was so I can't understand what the problem is. If I don't get it resolved I'll have to cancel my subscription which I don't want to do but can't afford to keep getting missing issues.

Lazy act
Makes no concessions to the medium, in my case an iPad Pro. Can't seem to switch to landscape, so two-page spreads are just that, you have to step between then. Enlarge the font and you'll have to get it back to the original size before moving on. Initial signing up is not easy; very poor error-trapping (using an illegal character in the password leads to an infinite loop), lots of confusing instructions and out-of-date iPad advice.
Print is safe, if this is all that the stylish Wallpaper* can muster.

I like it
You can tell a lot of effort has gone into making this app. I really like it - the interactivity is good without being too overwhelming.
It would be good if you could remove the free samples in the library screen since I am a subscriber as I don't need them and they ruin what would otherwise be a nice visual collection.

FANTASTIC!
I'm very impressed with the iPad edition of Wallpaper. From the unique digital content to the innovative layout the guys at Wallpaper have created something new and fresh, pushing the ipad platform to new levels. Highly recommended!
Great
Takes a while to figure out how to access all the parts of the magazine, but intuitive once you get the thinking!
Fab content and glorious images
Fab content and glorious images
It's ok but the text and images are low res on an iPad 3
The magazine works but would expect nicer design features to read articles. More importantly than anything is the resolution. On a design led magazine I'd expect much higher quality output for the typography and images. The typography and images should be stunning on the new iPad. So I am disappointed.

Modest journalism buoyed by sub par app
Maybe it's because I'm on an iPad 1 but it's irritating that the app doesn't save your position if you lock the app or exit it unless you save it's position manually. Which includes if you let it sleep.
There are also a few nice features that don't feel gimmicky. Rotate to view gallery and the hidden columns work well.
And beyond the pretentious rhetoric there are some beautiful things being written about in here. Despite the sense that there isn't a single genuine independent discerning pair of eyes in Wallpaper HQ they do occasionally write quite some quite good articles about some stunning things.
Price is good though for the content. And buying issues/subscriptions is problem free.
Just fix the sleep/lock/bookmark issue...

Download restrictions
The app needs to be reworked in order to be more user friendly... When downloading an issue, one cannot perform other tasks such as checking emails because the download will stop, even if you leave the app downloading, if the screen goes black it stops downloading! I had to stare at the screen for +15 minutes, making sure the screen wouldn't go black while it downloaded the magazine! I would have gone to the shop and bought a hard copy by then!

Rubbish
I've been paying for a subscription from them for the last 6 months and don't get much chance to read, so went into the app today, to catch up on the last couple of issues. Can't sign into it, doesn't recognise my email address, ridiculously buggy, can't pick up any of my past issues that I've paid for. A complete rip off, wasted ยฃ20. Won't even be getting the print one now out of principle

Buggy setup
Possibly a nice product, we'll see once I get to spend time reading the online magazine. However the first steps, to get your digital subscription up and running when you're a paper subscriber are really tedious. The app is buggy. Half the buttons don't appear on the screen, the app doesn't rotate with iPad, and the links to the subscription options are so slow it took me a long while to realise they actually worked. So far not impressed. Let's if they've got the content side of things right.

Content missing
Just downloaded the April issue because of the Germany feature but half of what's in the print edition is missing from the digital edition. No idea how to get a refund so I can go and buy the print version with the content I wanted.
Impossible to cancel automatic subscription renewal.
A good magazine, but once subscribed to it seems impossible to cancel the automatic renewal! The Wallpaper site states that this is doable on the App Store site, but it is clearly not present. Can the App Store make it clear how subscriptions can be cancelled? I have deleted the app but I have still seen money taken from my account! Help please.

Wallpaper* iPad app
Wallpaper* was made for the iPad, and vice versa. The gorgeous content completely lends itself to this medium. The photography looks stunning on screen. The interactive features are clever, but understated. So very stylish... It's what you want to be seen reading.
Brilliant except for a few minor flaws
This is a stunningly good magazine-app. The interactivity is varied and engaging without being gimmicked.
However, there are a few minor issues: social media sharing doesn't seem to work at all (iPad 1, iOS 5); when the toolbar slides off you can partially still see it at the top of the screen and when viewing your library of issues the layout of the page looks a bit off.
These don't really affect your appreciation of the content though.

Wallpaper* app
beautiful, clean lay-outs, excellent typography and fantastic, cutting edge photography. everything you would expect from the world's leading design-based magazine. easy to navigate too.
some magazines don't seem to be able to make the tricky transition from print to app format but wallpaper* has achieved it rather effortlessly.

Captivating
It's a joy to read wallpaper in its iPad version. The content jumps to life in innovative ways that surprise, while the quality of the pics and video are at the level we've come to expect from this outstanding mag.
Good app!
A really promising start by Wallpaper*. All the high design and layout standards you'd expect from them, plus a very nice playful dynamic to it as well. Always good to have new premium end apps to try out and this one lives up to the billing...
Ms
Love being able to access wallpaper online. The app is great - love all the interactive content and the videos in particular!
Wallpaper* iPad
The photos in Wallpaper* look great on the iPad. This app gives you great extras like sound tracks, sketches, more photos, animation and video. I travel alot and this is a great way to savour the magazine.
