Best Mobile Game

This is the best mobile game I have ever played, I wish more people knew about it so that we could get a similar game with even more content.

Amazing game

It has very good fighting and world building. The side quest are all great. The story is amazing and the way the story and the world grows to great. I would love a another game like this.

Top tier mobile game

good combat interesting story great exploration and overall good game, few glitches about in a whole play through.

Nice concept, excellent execution

Among all choice-based RPGs, this one's probably the best I've seen. I'll be keeping this app for many years to come, even after I've played through all the choices.

This game is amazing

This game might one of my top ten favorite games and is definitely my favorite mobile game ever, I’ve been suggesting it to all my friends, and finally remembered it’s name so I could re-download it (I uninstalled it after assuming I was stuck only to realize later there was still other stuff to do) thank you for making this game and if you are considering making more games PLEASE do another real time combat like this one

Dark Souls meets text RPG

This is a high quality RPG combining Dark Souls style combat with a well written narrative. Exploration is on a 2D overworld, and there is a unique mechanic that handles player death in a way that helps progress the story rather than force a reload like other fans. Lastly, the game also incorporates a distinctive hand-drawn art style.

It is unfortunate that this game is not better known.

Amazing game + tips

Great game, very tough since there is almost no guides on it. If you have questions or tips my snapchat is nickcollins44.

Great but question

I really am enjoying this game so far, but I have one big question, what happens when you resurrect too many times, it says I forgot something, but I don’t know what that means in terms of gameplay and story ending

Great unique game with good atmosphere

This game is exactly what I was looking for. Portrait mode story RPG, with an interface that actually feels like it was made for a phone. If you don’t give this a try you’re doing yourself a disservice.

Great

Amazing game with a lot of depth

Great game.

I actually stayed up all night playing this game. It’s so addicting sure sometimes it can difficult if you don’t have the correct load out but that’s why death isn’t the end!

Great game, just one suggestion

The gameplay and story are both great, but I’m a little annoyed at how much damage I’m taking from certain enemies. If you could add an armor system that’d be great

I love it!

Heck it’s better than some console and pc games. I honestly didn’t know I could fall in love with a mobile game like this. I highly recommend this game to anyone who remotely like rpg adventure type games. My only suggestion would be some sort of difficulty slider. I’m not the best at video games so different levels might make the learning curve a little less steep. I love it nonetheless though!

I love it

I’ve always enjoyed these type of games, the amount of detail in the artwork is really nice.

One of the best rpgs

This game is extremely fun and unique. The fighting style, the free world adventure, etc. But i do have to say the difficulty curve is steep. After leaving the canyons, the mercenaries really got me on my first playthrough. Dont expect to beat this game quickly. You really need to learn each persons/monsters moves to beat them easily.

Wow

Amazing game, I can’t believe how underrated this is. The setting is amazing and I really really love the concept. The art is beautiful and fits the theme perfectly despite the lack of color. The music is atmospheric. There’s a surprisingly large chunk of content, I expected this game to be short. The world is immersive even though the design is fairly simple. The storytelling and world building is great and I like how exposition isn’t just dumped on the player, the moral dilemmas you face are realistic and complex. The combat system is great and I think the karma system is really unique and intuitive. Really enjoyed the open world aspect of it and the side-quests.

One major flaw is that it’s too hard to get into. Admittedly I almost dropped the game because of how tedious it was to progress at the beginning, there are way too many enemies (I’d encounter one every few moves) and it gets really annoying having too fight all of them, even when you’re outclassed. It became a lot better after I got the ability to flee and made it easier to stay motivated. I think that being able to flee shouldn’t require a shrine to link to as it’s annoying that it takes up a slot where you could instead boost your stamina; the ability to flee is essential as otherwise you’d grow bored quicker.

Spoilers:
Another issue is that the ending is a little anticlimactic, but that’s subjective. I understand that the journey is more important than the destination, but it’s just a bit disappointing after all the work you put into collecting the four spirits. But I understand it makes sense story-wise. It’s just not all that satisfying since the game just ends, there’s no extra content or anything. For a game with a lot of decisions and consequences, I expected the player to be able to choose if they wanted to sacrifice themselves or not.

Overall amazing game, definitely deserves more downloads. It’s one-of-a-kind and I wish there were more games with this type of style.

Difficulty curve is rather steep imo

I don’t know what it is, but the difficulty curve is rather steep imo....

Complex

I haven't seen a game like this since Sorcery! The style is 2d, but the game mechanics and story make up for it. The Eastern conflict in this game produces an engrossing experience.
I wish the game wouldn't so hard because I can't kill the grass elements on the first life (he just regain his poises). Should there be a list of tips of different fighting styles? And when starting a new game, can't we just skip the introduction?
Overall this game is great!

Intricately designed + good storyline = new obsession.

I am so enthralled by this game. You wander the world freely and seek out towns and other landmarks to achieve your goals. I’ve never experienced fight mechanics that are so intuitive, while still having 4 or 5 different options for various weapons and such. The karma credits after you die provide good motivation for participation in various fights while making dying not as frustrating as it could be (except maybe when you equip your weapons wrong and die right off the bat, but that is 100% a user error 😕). Beautiful mix of text based adventure with a well designed visual interface. All in all excellent!

Amazing game

I watched this game progress through the game dev reddit and I couldn’t wait to play it. I was not disappointed at all with the finished result. I love the art style and that the game has a story. It is unlike any phone game I have ever played. The controls are interesting because they are so different from anything I have played with before as well. The combat is easy at first but hard to master. Overall probably my favorite phone game of all time. Thank you for making this.
