Great app! Sad to see its work copied in a cheap knockoff with a big name attached
Magnus’s Take Take Take is basically doing what this app has been doing for a while, but with a big name attached to it. I’m sad to see fewer people will download this one now, because it really is wonderful. The subscription is very modestly priced and extremely worth it.
This is way better than Take Take Take, which explains super simple concepts, while this app gives a game report, engine lines, and lets you toy around with the moves.

Great live coverage for all the tournaments!
It’s always been painful on mobile to find all the games and tournaments, I tried the free version and it was promising so I upgraded to paid and don’t regret it at all. The interface is good and it does exactly what I need. Super easy to follow all the tournaments now!

Cool app but..
So I downloaded this app to use on my Apple Watch, but it has no indicator whether or not the match ended in the checkmate, a stalemate, or a resignation, half of the time I couldn’t figure out how it was a stale or checkmate, but I do like watching the games progress, but an indicator of the way the match and would be nice

Awesome app
I love this app a lot. i do wish it has a eval bar of some sort so we can see how good each move is. itd be immensely helpful. i would actually pay for that function
Watch Chess very good and could be even better
Watch Chess works perfectly on my iPhone. I would also love to see the app coupled to a good chess engine to see competent responses to alternate moves from a given position. The engine would mimic expert analysis, and help me understand moves as played.

Highly recommend. Would be useful if you could tell us why the games ended in the notifications; repeated positions, agreement, stalemate, checkmate, resignation, time, etc. and include the clock in t he game view interface

Why is the app showing only the open category in the 2022 Olympiad? Where are the women’s games?

Best Chess Tournament Info Possible
This app has a gold-standard user interface for replaying chess tournament games. Totally intuitive, clean, and legible design. Allows "what if" play and analysis from any position in a posted tournament game. Wonderful phone app. Only suggested changes: button to return to starting position of game and button to turn analysis on and off.

Great app with 1 problem
I’d up the review to a 5 but you can turn off the engine evaluation. That’s a deal killer for most people ELO want to think on their own.

Why would anyone want to watch someone else play chess?
I just wanted to play chess on my watch.
No usefull features
i realize this is free, and I respect the author's effort to create the app. Likely it meets his needs, but it is missing every useful feature that I could imagine:
1. Current, live chess tournaments are missing. There are dozens of live events at the moment, including one involving the leading GMs, but none are visible in the app.
2. There is no capacity to save a PGN for any of the games. The data are there but you cannot get at them.
3. There is no capacity to analyze the games. There are plenty of free chess engines that could allow analysis. Even the simplest website supports this.
I guess this is mainly for people who want to see chessboards on their Apple Watches? Otherwise it is extremely disappointing.
