Finally, a serious watch collection app
Watch Collector Pro is in a completely different league.
The interface is beautiful, fast and incredibly intuitive. Adding a watch can take less than a minute with just the basics, or you can go completely down the rabbit hole and capture everything including the dealer and sales associate you bought it from.
The app looks up darn near everything with only the brand and reference number. Or take a picture of your watch and it finds it for you, and not just the brand and model, but like everything!
The invoice import absolutely blew me away. Give it an invoice and it can extract the watches and purchase information rather than making you enter everything manually. For anyone with a larger collection, that alone is a killer feature.
Then I discovered the vendor tracking. Dealers, sales associates, purchases and spending history are all connected to the collection. Being able to see your actual history and relationship with a dealer is something I didn’t even realize I wanted until I had it. Mind blown.
There is a lot more here: even where you keep the box and papers. Jeez this developer thought of everything.
And the theme system deserves its own mention. You can completely change the personality of the app depending on your collection or mood. The themes make the watches themselves feel like the centerpiece instead of making the app look like a database.
The remarkable part is that all of this depth doesn’t make the app complicated. You can keep things incredibly simple or document every gory detail. It works either way.
If you think you’ve seen watch collection tracking because you’ve used Hodinkee or Chrono24, you haven’t seen anything yet.
