Tried and true

Tracking feature works really well. Love how the longer you use it the more interesting the information becomes.

I have one watch I don’t consider to be my favorite and yet, it sits atop still as #1 three years later. 🤯

Improvements I’d like to see someday: free-range color picker for plate customization, date-range selection wear count and wear % line graphs.

Response from developer

Thank you very much for choosing the WatcheePro app. We are very happy to hear that you like it. Stay tuned for future updates as well.

Awesome!

I just started using this app after looking into all the similar options. I thought I'd try tracking how much I wear each watch this year. This does exactly what it claims and is pretty user friendly. I didn't mind the manual entry, and it would be unreasonable to expect a developer of an app like this to try and compile a database of most watches. So far easily worth the fee for the pro and looking forward to using it this year. Maybe it will finally convince me to part with the watches I don't really wear once I see it broken out in front of me.

Thank you for choosing the WatcheePro app! Thank you very much for the feedback also, hopefully you will find the app useful and enjoy the future updates as well.

Great but not great enough for the price

This app has the basics of what you want for tracking your collection. Its got accuracy measurements, collection info, and wear rates. However, for $10 I'm a bit disappointed. The home screen is a mess: my customization for the watch plates don't show unless in the watch info screen, I can't customize what info is on the home screen and instead I have to cycle through most of the stats I don't want to see, there's no monthly calendar view of what I wore (although there is a weekly view). As great as this app is, there's just not enough beyond the basics of what it should do to justify the cost. I hope the developer has plans to do a bit more polishing in the coming updates

No Apparent Backup / Restore Capability

I've been using this app for a couple of years & love it. I recently had to get a new iPhone and realized that there is no way to cleanly transfer my collection to the new phone. You can export then import a CSV file with the watches specs and basic info but all of the historical data (timing runs, service records, photos, etc.) which makes this app so great is lost. Am I missing something here? This lack of backup and restore ability will absolutely make me look for a different app instead of taking the time to rebuild the Watcheepro collection, only to loose it all again in the future.

Great but slow

The app is great an absolutely worth the money, but it is a bit slow when you use it with a large collection of watches

AI Enabled?

Seems like a useful app but the manual entry is tedious. If some online enabled “AI” could fetch my watch details when I provide a model, that would be helpful. I would be happy to input an OpenAI api key for my access, and folks that don’t want to use that feature can just ignore it.

Response from developer

Thanks for choosing WatcheePro and we're happy to hear that you seem to like it. Regarding the AI suggestion, at present we are not aware of anyone offering the possibility for automatic watch data retrieval. If such an API opens up at some point, we certainly are happy to investigate utilising it. It would be an awesome addition. Meanwhile we hope that you will enjoy the app and the frequent updates to it.

Fun and Useful

I’ve been using this app to track my modest watch collection. If you’re are watch person, you will like this app. You can have little to detailed bios on your watches . Watch people will enjoy this app.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. We're really happy to hear that you like WatcheePro. The app is indeed updated often and we hope you will like the future updates as well. Ps. A while ago we published a similar app for car owners called CarDrive, so if managing car(s), their services, expenses etc sounds useful, you might want to check it out too. WatcheePro users will feel right at home with CarDrive :)

Best App

The best app for watch enthusiasts.

Nice App. For the enthusiast

This is a great little app for keeping track of your watches - especially for the amateur horologist/collector who tend to accumulate quite a few.

Definitely could do with cloud syncing and also an option to mark the watch as lost or stolen (it does happen).

Great to keep track of the collection

Great app and constantly improving. The developer listen to its users and keep adding useful bit to the app. Best one I have used for manage your watch collection

Not worth the purchase.

Deleted immediately but unable to ask for refund.

Does What it Says, but…

This would be so much better if the information was stored in the cloud somewhere, with the ability to replicate the contents/files across multiple devices.
I have a lot of watches, and don’t have the time to replicate the information from every watch whenever I want to use the app on a different platform - I.e. iPad versus iPhone 😎

Great App, Easily the best of the bunch

I’ve been using this app for several years now & I love the fact that the developers are actively working on it and send out regular updates.

There are 4 things that I would LOVE to see added to this app.

One would be a simple 3 hand full screen watch face with day & date that syncs with the atomic clock to be used for setting your watch. I currently have to use another app for this.

Two would be the addition of a simple notes section on each watches page. Where you could jot down quick notes about a watch such as “the jubilee bracelet has loose end links, best on the oyster” or, dial is green but looks black when indoors”.

Three would be online sync for all data & images between iOS devices and the Mac OS version (I know the Mac OS versions doesn’t exist, but hopefully it will one day). I know you can sync with iCloud for most of the text data but I had to switch phones a while back and it took months for me to fully restore all of the photos & full functionality of the app. Also, it would be great to have a synced version on my iPad too. I know that data/cloud storage space may be a concern, but my collection of 66 watches with all photo slots full is occupying about 440mb, seems doable.

The fourth would be long-term time tracking. It would be great to be able to run a long term timing run for a week or a month with the ability to add data points on demand. Im currently using a 3rd app to do this. It allows me to wear a watch for a week and add data points multiple times a day. It then allows me to see this data on a graph with several ways to display the data collected. It’s very interesting to see what a movement does during different activities, wake sleep cycles, night time resting positions, etc. over longer periods of time.

All in all this a great app. I’ve tried most all of them and this one still comes out on top. Keep up the good work folks!

Hello and thanks for your feedback! We do plan to continue development and consider features suggested by our users. As for the notes section, there is one :) Just tap on a watch to go into the details and scroll to the bottom and you’ll see it. To add notes, tap edit, and scroll to the bottom for the entry area. Addition 10th Jan 2024. We have just released the "WatcheePro for iPad" version of the app that is a fully independent version of the app especially tailored for iPad users to better utilize the bigger screens and capabilities of iPad. Also the iPad version will have more features since the iPad devices enable more things to be shown on the screen etc. If you have an iPad, perhaps consider checking it out. Cheers, Anssi

Fun App

I don’t have an extensive watch collection, but I love the watches I have. This is a fun app to use to track information about each watch and in particular, the daily wear stats. I look forward to any updates. 😊

Great app, it does require user input

Great app with excellent features for collectors to keep track of many details of their collection. It does require the user to input nearly all details of the individual watches in their collection. That’s fine, since there really is no practical way for the app developer to have all details for every watch that ever existed to be “preloaded into the app” already .

For me, regardless of the tedious nature of having to manually input watch specs that I also had to spend the time to look up in manuals, websites, and brochures (and this did take a lot of time), I found the process strangely therapeutic and enjoyable. Basically, I turned a potentially negative experience into a positive one..

It was like getting to know your watches all over again! The app is truly worth the few dollars that it sells for! Enjoy!!!

Thanks for your feedback. We are really happy to hear that you like WatcheePro. The app indeed does need user to input their watch details. Having said this, great care has been taken to make the process easier for various fields with many predefined values to choose from. WatcheePro is often updated, many times based on ideas from the app users. Also the app developers are watch enthusiasts themselves. We hope you will like the future updates as well.

My New Favorite App of All Time!

I’ve got a collection of ~300 watches, vintage and new, some for repair, some perfect; just the whole gamut. I am also OCD about my collection.

I was using a combination of Excel, Lepsi, WatchBox, Instagram and literally hand written stickers with numeric codes to keep track of the performance, visuals, notes, metadata etc on my watches.

I bought the Watchee Pro app and within a week dumped my other watch apps, deleted the spreadsheet and threw out the stickers. Its like the dev for this app read my mind and made my perfect app for watch collecting. All the metadata I tracked in Excel has a place in this app already! Its amazing.

Keep up the fantastic work! Every update just seems to make this better!

Thank you for choosing WatcheePro and reviewing it. We are really happy to hear that you like the app. WatcheePro is made by two watch enthusiasts who also happen to be programmers, so we have a very special bond to the app ourselves (we use it every day). There are often new updates to the app and many times they are based on ideas from fellow watch enthusiasts. By the way, there's a group called "Fans of the Watchee App" on Facebook. It would be great to have you there also. Addition 10th Jan 2024. So far so good

After using the Watchee app for a few years but getting more and more frustrated with its instability (it crashes ALL the time) I switched to the Pro version. So far, so good. No instability issues and really enjoy the additional features, especially the ability to store more images. One question for the developer…I add the category of the watch and the country of origin of the watch/mechanism but it doesn’t save. If I reopen the watch page of that particular watch the information is gone (it goes back to question marks). What am I doing wrong?

Response from developer

Thank you for choosing WatcheePro. Regarding Watchee instability it might happen with larger collection of over 100 watches where one is storing photos for all the watches. It usually helps activating image compression on Watchee settings tab, it will then compress all the watch images and the performance of the app increases considerably. WatcheePro category is saved when one taps the "Choose country of origin" above the field. We are making it easier with v1.3.4 where it wil "auto-save" when just selecting the different values. Hope this helps :) Addition 10th Jan 2024. Worth the upgrade!

I used regular watchee for a couple years and loved it but this WatcheePro is absolutely worth stepping up to. A great look, packed with features and easy to use. Regular updates adding more features so it keeps getting even better! Absolutely the most useful watch app out there and is basically 5 apps in one so the cost is absolutely fair in my book
