User reviews

Awesome

This application actually works on my watch. Which is more than I can say about Dexcom’s app.

Watch complication broken

The Apple Watch complication to allow Watch Sugar is now broken. I turned off the complication and went to turn it back on and it is no longer even showing as available. Watch Sugar is installed on my phone and on the watch but no complication. I tried contacting the email address for the developer but no response. Shame because this provides valuable information on low blood sugar episodes during the night.

FAQ

What does watchSugar do?

watchSugar is an Apple Watch application designed to display your Dexcom Share blood sugar data directly on your watch face through a complication. This allows for quick and convenient access to your glucose readings without needing to open a separate app.

How do I set up watchSugar?

Setting up watchSugar is a two-step process. First, you will log into your Dexcom Share account within the watchSugar phone application. Second, you will select the watchSugar complication on your Apple Watch's watch face to display your data.

How often does the data update?

watchSugar is designed to update your blood sugar data on average every 17 minutes. For the most up-to-date information, using the Modular watch face and assigning watchSugar to the large central complication area can also display the timestamp of the latest reading.

Is my data secure?

Yes, your privacy is a top priority. watchSugar securely stores your Dexcom Share credentials in the iOS keychain. Your information is never sent outside of the app, except to Dexcom itself for data retrieval.

Is watchSugar compatible with other glucose monitors?

Based on the provided description, watchSugar specifically integrates with Dexcom Share to display blood sugar data. It is designed for users who utilize Dexcom continuous glucose monitoring systems.
