Re-Re-rating Developer reached out and was nice enough to explain

The app is what it describes, an idle game on your wrist.

Very simple. The app was updated and the developer reached out to explain and fixed bugs.

Your wizard can reach some high levels. The texts, while out on a quest, are funny. The spells and other wizard related stuff you can purchase can help you level up. There are sometimes small pop-up questions that make you choose between two options, though for me, while it does show that in the notifications, it disappears in the app and makes me wonder if it worked.

The con that comes to mind is that the items you acquire in a run have interesting names, but they can only be sold for gold.

Response from developer

Thank you for updating your review. All the bugs you mentioned have finally being fixed! Thank you for your patience. As a solo indie dev with a full time job, updates are not as fast as with a commercial team of developers, but I do want WatchWizard to be as good as we all can imagine it to be. I would appreciate if you want to give it another try now that everything works as expected. Will check if I have missed your email, I do my best to answer them all.

Active development update

The developer sees reviews an addresses issues within the game it’s fun and simple adventure game on your watch long as you understand the limitations on the game it being an watch app it is a nice buy and fun time to play only feed back I would still have is maybe shrink the xp window for me on my watch the buttton to click for xp is off my screen and the words for it are to but it still works I can tap to gain xp

Game is terrible simple bug the quest timer will expire yet you will have to wait several minutes after before it will finally complete if I could give a zero star I would

Response from developer

I have fixed this bug. Thank you for your feedback, and thank you for your patience - I'm a solo developer. EDIT: Thank you for updating your review, and thank you for the XP button note, that will be moved higher!

Terrible don’t buy

Game is terrible simple bug the quest timer will expire yet you will have to wait several minutes after before it will finally complete if I could give a zero star I would

Amazing

It’s a watch game that costs less than a latte.

It’s just what I’ve wanted. A idle game that levels up and doesn’t hit me with a pay wall or other nonsense.

I’ve only just had it a day but I can see the scope and depth possible by a game like this could have…

Different characters,
Equitable items,
Branching narratives,
Level up skill tress,
Perks,
Character treats,
Boss battles….

….oh the list goes on and on.

But I think the developer knows this and if he could, he would do all this. But for now he has made a solid game that’s fun for a couple bucks.

Well done, I love it.

If you can keep releasing big fixes while you can it would be appreciated. Keep up the awesome work.

Re-rating due to lack of support. Idle game just as described , a lot of bugs

Update January 5th, 2026:

The app has not been updated in a long time since this review.

The app is barely working as intended. The notifications do not appear whenever you finish a quest.

Game crashes several times when you open the app to check your progress, meaning that your progress gets lost for that current quest and you have to start over hoping the game doesn’t crash again.

I have messaged the developer about this and have gotten no response.

As far as it goes you’ll probably just lose money your money if you purchase because this game because it just keeps crashing and it’s not working as intended.

Begin old review:

It’s my fault for not reading the description, I thought it was going to be more quest text like it would give you options to choose what to do. It’s a very idle game. It’s an ok game if you like idle games.

There are a few bugs as of this review.
1. The notifications hardly come in when the quest is finished so you’ll have to open the app to check after the quest is done or if it’s done.

2. The other bug is that very often when the quest timer says 0 time left it stays stuck on the quest screen with the flavor text still occasionally changing often for several minutes before the quest resolves. Sometimes it won’t resolve at all so you won’t get the rewards.

I have an Apple Watch series 10 with the latest u update (WatchOS 26.1). I understand this app hasn’t been updated since early 2025. It’s now December 2025.
