Haven’t used yet

Could be Great but notifications make it non-functional imo & a waste of your $

Update August 6th: Since latest update the icon has changed but the App is totally broken. I did a reinstall to make sure but on day 1 it has the default water intake amount without any schedule. I have to add drinks manually and more than I want since the intake number is set to what they calculated. Note: what they calculate is significantly higher than what I could find as the standard for my weight when I checked multiple health sites. Note: Even though day 1 has no schedule it appears notifications are triggering based on Day 2’s schedule. I’ll wait too see if they all trigger or just some like it’s been. Weird behaviour though. Maybe Day 2 forward will be better as the schedule is set and it has my water quantity overuse correctly marked. Further Update: Since initially reaching out to me about the problem with notifications the developer has gone silent even though I’ve emailed additional information about incidents. Basically at this time notifications actually triggering is less than 50/50. It’s behaviour I’ve never seen in another app and can only assume there’s a coding error. As such imo this app should not be purchased if you need to rely on the notifications - a core feature. I feel like my money's just gone down the drain as I’ll have to buy another app to replace this one. Additionally the request for review constantly pops up in the app even though I’ve obviously reviewed it multiple times. This is only a guess but I’m betting it’ll keep popping up until I give this app a 5 star review which is not happening. I’m not sure but I doubt this is how Apple intended a review reminder to work. Update to Review: Well I’ve been in contact with the developers and they seem to want to help or they did until I explained the problem and since then I haven’t heard anything from them. The core issue is the notifications randomly don’t trigger so if you’re using this where drinking water on a schedule is in any way important I’d recommend staying away. I’m trying to isolate when it happens but it just happens. Sometimes I’m watching a video I get no notification but other times it triggers as expected. So frustrating. It’s a pity - it’s one of the better visually designed apps for water tracking but with core functionality not working reliably I feel I’ve wasted the money I spent on it. Original Review: It’s a lovely app and if it functioned consistently I’d easily give it a 4 star rating even with a few annoyances I have with it. However since it regularly misses triggering notifications to drink I simply can’t recommend it as a paid app. Without this basic of functionality working all the time it loses a lot if not most of its usefulness for me and I’m guessing others. If they fix the random non-notification error then I’d recommend it even with its other shortcomings like not being able to set your activity level or the ambient temperature in the settings screen. Actually now that I think of it this too will become an issue before long. I take it back, until they fix the random non-notification problem as well as allow you to adjust your activity level and the ambient temperature in settings this app should be steered clear of as a paid app especially if you want to rely on it for important health reasons. If they fix these 3 things then it’d be worth purchasing. I hate being so negative but big issues in basic functionality doesn’t give me any confidence in using or recommending the app. Frankly at this point disappointed I paid for it. I hope this is a constructive review as it’s not meant to hate. I want to love the app I bought.

Love The Water Appp

I love the water app, Thank You

Needs significant improvement

Probably the worst app I have come across!!!
The app doesn’t seem to recognise if you don’t meet your goal that you have failed and keeps asking if you want to start again. How about being more helpful with guidance instead of being so abrupt. Seems to have been developed by technical IT people.
