Excellent adaptation

Great music, sound effects. Multiplayer, turn undo... lots of fun, thanks for this

A great game, implementation needs work

The original board game is extremely well-designed and smart, but simple enough for almost anyone to learn the rules. The app is a faithful adaptation and a great way to do a quick round of a great game on the go. What keeps it from being 5 stars for me is that for a game with such a small board and small number of pieces, it’s actually quite unsuited to a phone screen. The informant spaces around the edge of the board are tiny, in an unreadable typeface, and there’s no option to magnify them so unless you have the board layout memorized, you’re flying blind. Card text is mostly readable but still harder than it needs to be, so that’s better but still not ideal. Fix this somehow and you’ve got a must-buy for anyone who digs strategy games.

Updated Review

After playing with the game for several days. It is addicting. Yes, there can be some UI improvements which I hope are rolled out and an easier way to hide the cards and such if you want to see the board state, but I see continued updates with pads and play as well as the AI. The enhancement of having “Display Icons for Card Actions” is a wonderful add.

Also, the music slaps.

Rough around the edges, but a keeper

I’m not sure what the other reviewer is saying, but the solo mode works fine for me. It could be a phone-to-version issue. Overall, would recommend even at full price if the developer continues to refine it.

Wishlist:
- AI difficulty selection
- Achievements
- Solo and multiplayer statistics
- Better way to see played cards than this click text option. Perhaps press and hold (for phones only)
- Larger interface buttons
- Smoother visuals and interface dragging evidence

Pros:
- Great way to get your Watergate fix
- Love the played history feature
- AI is challenging

Crashes frequently

Three attempted solo games, three crashes, unable to continue any of them. So, it’s unplayable in its current form.
