Practice for the Overseas Pharmacist Readiness Assessment (OPRA®), the exam the Australian Pharmacy Council uses to assess internationally qualified pharmacists. 2200 multiple-choice questions, every one written for this app, each with a written explanation. WHO IT IS FOR Pharmacists who qualified outside Australia and New Zealand and are working towards registration. The exam is the knowledge stage of that process, sat at a Pearson VUE centre: 120 questions in 150 minutes, four options each, no negative marking. HOW THE READINESS FIGURE WORKS It is not a score, and it is the reason this app exists. With four options, one correct answer can be a lucky guess — one candidate in four would "master" a question they do not know. So a question counts towards your readiness only after you have answered it correctly TWICE IN A ROW. A wrong answer takes the credit back, which means the percentage can fall as well as rise. That is deliberate. A number that could only ever go up would tell you that you are ready when you are not. THE FIVE CONTENT AREAS The bank follows the areas and the weighting the Council publishes in its exam guide, so practice time lands where the marks are: • Biomedical sciences — 20% • Medicinal chemistry and biopharmaceutics — 10% • Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics — 10% • Pharmacology and toxicology — 15% • Therapeutics and patient care — 45% Each area breaks down further into topics you can study one at a time. EVERY ANSWER EXPLAINED The explanation appears the moment you answer. It says why the correct option is correct AND why each of the others is wrong — which is where the common misconceptions live, and most of what the exam is actually testing. 140 of the questions are calculations: concentrations, dilutions, dose adjustment, drip rates, displacement values. Every one is worked through step by step rather than just answered. FOUR WAYS IN • Practise — drawn at random, weighted towards what you have not mastered yet • Weak spots — the areas you are furthest behind in • Mistakes — everything you have got wrong, until you have not • Calculations — the numerical questions on their own MOCK EXAM 120 questions in 150 minutes, drawn in the real weighting, with a countdown, flag-for-review, a paper overview and no feedback until you submit. Afterwards every question is reviewable with its explanation, and the result is broken down by content area. The result is a raw score. No pass mark is claimed anywhere in this app: the Council scales its scores across paper versions and publishes no cut score, so a number invented here would be a promise the app cannot keep. YOUR PROGRESS A statistics screen shows readiness against accuracy — two different numbers, and the gap between them is informative — plus questions sitting, questions started, questions never seen, your practice streak and every mock you have sat. PRIVACY The app sends nothing. No account, no sign-up, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking. It has no network permission at all: your progress stays on your device.
