Wausau Daily Herald needs LOCAL news

The Herald is great for State and National news. But I miss the local news. Some days there is nothing LOCAL. And just so you know a community 80 miles away is not LOCAL. We go to the weekly papers for LOCAL. How about finding a way to have a LOCAL reporter that can do three or more LOCAL stories each day. I think you would get more LOCAL advertisers to buy ads, maybe enough to pay for the reporter and a sales person. Any county with over 100,000 people should be able to support a LOCAL “online” paper.

Liberal news bias. Poor local sports news.

Won’t stay open

Very time consuming to open each time I want to use app.

Essential Northern WI News

Coverage of all news of the Wausau region keeps me in-the-know. I especially appreciate coverage of Native American news and culture in the WDH and their affiliated weekly newsletter.

Login and logout are tricky

A clear login and logout process would be helpful. I have a subscription, but every time I open the app it asks me to subscribe and the ‘already a subscriber’ link just whirls. I have an iPad at iOS 15 and the regular app can’t seem to handle it. The print edition app works better.

Great news!

Love this app to get local news...however the obit page is hard to read...not organized like before..new and improved is not impressed.
This is an awful tribute to the people who have passed! Go back to the old obit pages.

No longer works after IOS upgrade

Crashes after IOS 14 upgrade no longer functions even after an app reload.

Daily Herald

App does not work on Apple 7 IPhone since I updated to ISO 14

Wausau Daily Herald

Great news paper that covers the local, state and national news with up to date stories.

customer service

Can’t review an app I can’t use. Keeps crashing on me. What is the fix for this?

Very timely with great coverage

I’m down in southeast WI and this is great for me to keep track of what’s going on with my friends and family up north.

Disappointing coverage

Several weeks now for Thursday results nothing about swimming. Wausau Daily Herald continues to disappoint with their lack of coverage. Tennis, Soccer, Cross Country and of course football all represented. Why am I paying for this? I keep hoping for better.

Sports

I know this is WI and football is king. However, there are those in this community who are involved in other sports that are going on during football season-swimming, volleyball, baseball-and I’d like to hear about them. The Herald’s entire sports section is consistently devoted to football, which is a disservice to the community.

Pay for access still ads

I wish the app weren’t loaded with advertisements, especially since I’m paying for the app. Overall, easy access to news on the go.

Less

The thanksgiving edition was supposedly the years biggest issue. It turned out to be the biggest collection of ads I’ve ever gotten. Even the two small sections of content were 50 percent ads. Furthermore if I wanted to read USA Today I’d buy one.

Great online

Delivery of the paper did not work for me
