About

WaxSeal sends encrypted messages through ordinary photos. The photo carries an invisible WaxSeal reference; the encrypted message stays in a vault that cannot read it, and only the devices you chose can open it. Try it on your own device in one tap. Sending to other people happens in a team: a team invitation or WaxSeal Cloud activation is required to send; recipients don't need a paid seat. TRY IT ON THIS DEVICE FIRST • Tap "Try WaxSeal": no account, no code, one Face ID or Touch ID. • Hide a test message in a photo, send the photo to yourself in any chat if you like, and open it again here. • The personal demo is real end-to-end encryption with this device's own Secure Enclave keys. It makes 3 test seals, each for up to 24 hours, within 7 days, and only this device can open them. HIDE A MESSAGE BEHIND A PHOTO • Pick any photo, type the message, choose who may read it. • Share the photo in the chat apps you already use — WeChat, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram or email. The chat only ever sees a normal photo, and the invisible mark survives their compression and resizing. • The recipient opens the photo in WaxSeal and reads the message after Face ID or Touch ID. ONLY THE RIGHT DEVICE CAN OPEN IT • Messages are encrypted on your device with a key wrapped to each recipient's device key. Those keys never leave the Secure Enclave. • The vault stores ciphertext it cannot read. Who belongs to your organization is a signed, hash-chained record that every device verifies for itself. IT STAYS YOURS AFTER YOU SEND IT • Self-destruct: burn after reading, read limits, expiry. • Optional PIN: five wrong attempts and the message is destroyed. • Revoke a message or a device at any time. The photo keeps existing; it just stops opening. • A decrypted message hides itself from the screen after 60 seconds, and the clipboard clears itself. BUILT FOR TEAMS • Invite people with a QR code or a link and approve them with one tap. Nobody reads codes aloud. • iPhone, iPad and Mac. • WaxSeal is the companion app to a service that organizations set up on the web. Anyone can be a recipient for free.
